E-flite Tail Set Apprentice S 15e RTF EFL310003 Replacement Airplane Parts

I inherited an old Apprentice S 15e from a member of my RC Club. Being new to the hobby I was unsure of what to get. The Apprentice S had the old plastic covered tail stabilizers that was falling apart. The replacement tail assembly is much sturdier and is made from the same material the plane, perfect replacement.

These are an improved replacements for the original stabilizers on the Apprentice S 15e. In the attached pictures the new, improved versions are the lower images. On the horizontal stabilizer, note the longer CF Strips on the stabilizer and rudder. Also, note the wider CF Strip found on the horizontal (original, with crease, has a 1/8" CF Tube in place of original strip. On the vertical stabilizer and rudder, note the addition of CF Strips, not previously found at all. The rudder folding over seems to have been a common failure mode and the cause of my recent crash.

I can't complain, It came on time and it seems better constructed than what came out of the factory. Stronger, and I don't think it will break like the original did. Wish the whole plane was made of the same foam. I highly recommend this, Horizon Hobby replacement tail set.

My Apprentice got stuck in a VERY tall tree for six days. The vertical and horizontal stabilizers got a bit swollen but I tried to fix it. Never flew as it did before the tree crash. Got a new tail set at a great price and now the Apprentice flies well and handles rolls and stunts successfully. I am pleased and very satisfied with Horizon Hobby's parts.

Super. Superior to the original tail with added carbon fiber stiffeners.

It's nice to have a spare wings. Well made but I will be reinforcing this with fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin to make this wings more stronger and I can spray paint this without any damage to the foam.

The article arrived promptly, well protected, and as advertised. It, however, didn't fit correctly into my Apprentice 15s and I had to sand some parts to make them fit. Nothing grave, but a nuisance.
