Watch Winder Box

This is a great item for watches that need to be constantly moving, like my Rolex. It is beautiful on the nightstand.

Worked great but stopped working after 9 months. No apparent warranty. Very disappointed. Have contacted the company for a replacement. Will update review depending on response. Update: Company responded to inquiry promptly and courteously. Has offered to replace defective unit. I have added two stars to original review based on their response. Will update review once again when replacement unit has been received and I know it’s working properly. Stay tuned. Update #2 Replacement received. Works perfectly. This company obviously stands behind their product and can be trusted. Recommend highly. Five stars!

I had one winder like this for a few years. Worked nicely and very quiet. For a few years. Yesterday found the watches out of time and stopped. The motor stopped working. I thought it was the power supply. Replaced it with another unit but still it wont rotate. So I discarded the old unit. Guess the electrical motor got defective. Ordered a replacement. These winders are very nice when working. I don't think these winders are built to last forever. Otherwise a very nice and esthetic product. The new one said it was delivered with a pic, but was not there. After about an hour it appeared at my door... but not as the picture showed. Let me see how long this last one lasts. I am running it on a pair of AA alkaline batteries, instead of its power supply.

My boyfriend had this on his Christmas wish list. The tricky part is that he is a watch guru, and very particular about things when it comes to his watches. I myself am not well versed when it comes to this level of watch gear/tech. I did my research, and decided on this watch winder. I wanted one that could hold at least two, functioned well, would meet his high standards, looked high end and matched the master bedroom set. I’m very pleased to report that he is beyond happy with this watch winder. The box on its own is stunning to just look at on the dresser. Its extremely quite. I never hear it while sleeping or while in the bedroom. I was very happy to see how pleased he has been with this watch winder. I highly recommend this purchase. (Rotation pattern: It turns to the left for 2mins, pauses for 6mins, then turns to the right for 2mins. Repeats)

First hint when I read instructions and it explicitly noted that watch must be fully wound prior to storing in the auto-winder. There is no control to lengthen or shorten winding cycle. Only on/off. Very nice looking container and it simultaneously supports two self winding watches. It does not run long enough to prevent the need to continue manual intervention (manual winding) every couple of days. (My previous winder (wore out) provided sufficient rotation to I could leave the watch for weeks/months without winding) This provides minimum sustainment capability, but is VERY quiet and accommodates 2 watches. BUT you will have to check every week and fully wind your watch. Update after owning several months - THIS IS WORTHLESS other than being a nice watch case. Insufficient rotation to keep the watch alive for 3 days!

My husband is very difficult to buy things for because if he finds something he just goes for it most often. I was very happy that I was finally able to surprise him with this gift that he knew he wanted but kelt forgettinf about it and also was not sure what kind to get. He was always forgetting to move his watch and hated wearing it to bed. This box has beautiful craftsmanship, is whisper quiet, and works off battery or corded power. It does not move 24/7, rather its on some sort of timer. Even when it does move you cannot hear it, you only see it. He uses it daily and absolutely loves it. Its big, like a nice cube but its so pretty to display so its not an issue. I highly recommend this one.

This watch box is amazing! Highly recommend! Beautiful look making it a statement piece on the dresser and very easy to use. It is perfect for perpetual watches that you don't wear all of the time but also do not want to adjust the time everytime you want to wear it. It also is easily adjustable between large and small watch sizes. Perfect size as well!

Not only does is not always make the watch rotor turn because the watch sits at too low of an angle for the rotor to spin, it doesn't have a specified turns-per-day on the settings which is how pretty much all reputable watch manufacturers report rotor winding requirements for the use of watch winders. Also, the watch pillow adjustments were either too loose of too tight on some of my watches. A better design is like what you find in the Versa watch winder; they use a spring-loaded cushion for a perfect fit and constant tension to hold the watch securely, not to mention they wind the watch in a vertical position so the rotor is going to turn more reliably. On the positive side, it was nice a quiet, but some good that is if it's not well designed. Unfortunately, not recommended. Sidenote: Most watchmakers don't recommend using watch winders because they will wear the watch movement unnecessarily. Just wear the watch regularly in rotation with your other watches, and when you set it aside, if it runs out of power and stops that's okay, let the movement rest between wearings and reset the day/date if that's important to you (doesn't take long to do with a quick-set date) . On a further note, it's not recommended to regularly manually wind most automatics because they were not designed for that; their gears are not as durable as a manual-only winding watch. Better to do maybe a few winds to get it going and let the rotor do the rest as long as you're not sedentary.

This Kranich unit replaces my worn out winder and it keeps my watches properly winded.
