Yunshan Organic Keemun Black Tea Qimen Loose Leaf Chinese Tea

Unfortunately this tea has very little of the taste or the smell of a good Keemun tea. When you consider 125gr of loose Keemun is £7.95 at Fortnum & Mason, it isn't cheap either.

found stone in the bag. Bag was hard to open.small broken up leaves, Smell of dried leaves: sweet, fruity, woody undertoneSmell of wet leaves: fruity even after couple of brews. Peach, and cherry notesliqour: thin to medium, but of fruitiness going on 30 sec brewing 90-95 degrees water, 1 minute brewing, fruity notes going on, but not very strong. Tea is soft not noticed minerality in the taste. It gives a little bit of uplifiting body sensation. 4th brew which lasted 2 minutes won't give more notes. There is still peach notesColour: copper goldbrewing opinion: 4-5x 1st infusion being 30-40 seconds and then add 10-15 seconds 85 degrees water

Average tea. Expected better. Tesco's loose Assam is much better.

It's a gorgeous, rich black tea with a subtle aftertaste. One of the best Chinese black teas I have tasted.

Using it to brew my Kombucha. Must try drinking it at some point!!
