It's not better than sliced bread only because it needs sliced bread to be great. I am not a cook, cooking is my wife's hobby so I don't need to, nor do I want to. My wife still works; I am retired; so I am on my own for lunches during the week. When I saw the ekSel Non Stick Reusable Toaster Bag I thought that it may be my answer to mess-less toasted sandwich making. Used it for the first time yesterday. We had a small piece of left over steak, I sliced it thin, took two slices of American Rye bread (had to cut a half of an inch off so that it would fit in the toaster) put Cilantro salad dressing and Norwegian cheese on each slice. Then I put the steak and fried onions on one slice (my wife and I, we like fried onions and peppers so my wife always has some premade in the fridge), covered it with the other slice and put it in the toaster bag. Set the toaster to 5 (mid setting on our toaster) put the bag in the "Single Slice" slot and pushed down the lever. A few minutes later the bag popped up, I took it out of the toaster, was surprised that the bag could be handled without any hot gloves. I took the sandwich out of the bag, it was nicely toasted and the cheese was melted. Some of the melted cheese came out of the sandwich and was at the bottom of the bag. I reached in to see how messy it was going to clean it up, but the entire melted cheese came out in one piece. I guess when they say Non Stick in the name of the product, they really mean it. I am not a bragger, but the sandwich was great and I attached a picture of a half sandwich, (the other half was already gone by the time I thought about taking the picture). Clean up was very easy, just rinsed the bag with a bit of dishwashing liquid and water. The other picture is of a zip lock bag holder, holding the toaster bag while drying. The zip lock bag holder is another very useful tool to fill zip lock bags, and now to dry ekSel Non Stick Reusable Toaster Bag.In summary, it is a great toaster bag, easy to use, easy to clean and I guess it's uses are only limited by imagination and the opening of the toaster slot. I will be using it a lot, highly recommend it.

I used these for the first (and probably the last) time today. Both bags burned almost immediately with the toaster set on 2. We removed them and set the toaster on 1 and tried again...began smoking immediately! Wasted some of my free Amazon points :(

I LOVE grilled sandwiches, but don't love making them, especially in a hurry. This was SO easy! I assembled my sandwich with some gluten free bread, ham, and a little bit of Hellman's/BestFoods mayonnaise, on both the inside and outside of the bread, and popped it into my toaster. ( I got the large sized bags and they "almost" didn't fit in the slot of my Cuisinart toaster, but if one has a long toaster, with one long slot, this won't be an issue at all. ) I toasted it through two cycles on "4", and it came out in all of its toasty, grilled goodness.As some of us in the household are gluten free, this is a great way to share a toaster and not contaminate the gluten free bread. It is also an awesome way to make a grilled sandwich quickly and easily. The clean up was pretty easy. The bags do get a bit discolored in some spots with use, but they are clean, even if that discoloration remains. Since gluten free bread tends to have somewhat smaller slices than regular bread, the medium size would probably also work.All in all, this is one of those inventions that I wish I would have thought up myself, and if I didn't, that someone else would have come up with sooner!

Strange how everyone else is writing positive reviews for this product. I haven't felt it necessary to review something for a while, but this one deserves a straight one star.Toaster bags....aren't supposed to char. Take a look. How in hell's name does a toaster bag burn? This is just dangerous and I'll be returning this garbage immediately. Wasn't even high heat settings. Medium heat, and it burns.

I really wanted to love this product, but it doesn't work. The sandwich with the bag does not fit in my toaster. I had to toast it twice to get the cheese melty. But, the bread didn't get toasted at all. I opted to use butter, so I had warm, squishy bread with melted cheese. I'm disappointed this didn't work.

We loved the concept of these sandwich bags. Cooking a grill cheese in the toaster - fun! Cleaning these bags is difficult. If you don’t get to them right away, you’ll get mold inside the bag.My suggestion: make toast in the regular fashion in your toaster. Lightly butter one side, put a smidge more butter on the other. On the heavier buttered side, place your cheese and microwave the sandwich for ten to twelve seconds. No bag needed. No mess to clean.

Put together 2 slices of ham, a slice of American cheese and 2 thin tomato slices between 2 slices of white bread. Popped it in the bag, and really had to push it into the toaster -- it just barely fit. Toasted on medium and pulled it out of the toaster when the bread just started to burn. Ham was warm, cheese mostly melted but not all the way. So just kinda like a luke warm sandwich on plain toast. A great idea that just doesn't quite work.

I am so glad I bought these. They effectively heat and crisp my food and avoid adding crumbs to my office's toaster. I especially like that I can now reheat pizza because the cheese gets gooey, the crust gets crispy, and I don't end up making a mess.Although I think cleaning with soapy water has been effective, the char marks and seeming grease marks made me use all three at the same time - 1 for cheesy things like pizza and grilled cheese, 1 for sweet things like scones and halved blueberry muffins, 1 for "neutral" things like sesame bagels and English muffins. I am probably being too picky.The only down side for me is that I think our office toaster is smaller than standard so I have to bunch up the bag a bit to fit. But that is the toaster's fault not the bag!

I am celiac and very sensitive to cross contamination. I have a gluten free toaster at home, however bought these for travelling. I recently used them at an Airbnb and it worked well. I keep them in a ziplock bag and it was easy

Maybe I'm a moron, but I could not get the bread and cheese sandwich fit in without squishing.Once in the toaster, toast was burned with cheese being only somewhat melty. Kinda bummed as I was hoping this would make an easier way for my other half to have grilled cheese already prepped for while he's away for work

Pretty cool product! Thin slice bread works best for grilled cheese sandwiches in our toaster. Bought these primarily for that reason but we also reheated a chicken burger patty last night and it came out nice and crispy, not soggy like a microwave reheat. Handles are nice to take the bags out of the toaster easily.

Works as advertised! You might have to adjust the toaster settings as it seems to make toast slightly faster. Will save me lots as hassle when traveling as I will not have to bring my own toaster along to avoid cross contamination; just one of these toaster bags. Easy to clean even after making a grilled cheese sandwich.Would recommend to other celiacs.

I love these things. I am celiac so use them for work, at family and friends places. I make grilled cheese in the toaster with them and they are amazing. I wash and reuse, and have had them for almost a year now and use them frequently and have had no issues!
