I bought these to hand polish rocks. I have attempted one and need more practice.

If you've ever tried to polish aluminum, you have to wet sand the bare metal using multiple grades of sandpaper, starting with a more coarse sandpaper and finishing with one that is really super fine. That can get expensive if you buy pack of each grade separately. So, I tried this assortment instead on a badly scratched aluminum alloy truck wheel. I wet sanded by hand starting with 400 grit and eventually ending with 3000 grit. I can say without a doubt that the sandpaper held up as well as any I've had when wet sanding by hand. No regrets here! I don't think the sheets are big enough for my finishing sander, but they would fit my handheld sanding block just fine.

Note: these are all for fine sanding, like between paint coats. I used a few for sanding between coats doing wall painting, and they held up fine, but I haven't tried them wet, yet. I plan to restore my car's headlights when it warms up, which requires wet sanding, so I'll try to report back then.

I was really pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sand paper for the price and how much you get. I am currently using it for a painting project and they are working absolutely perfectly. The paper is durable and doesnt break down with wet sanding, and doesnt clog up too terribly either. The sanding pad it comes with feels to be somewhere in the 200-300 grit range.

This is a great product for me, my second order. I have been very hapy with it. I use it to polish opals to a mirror shine - hard to believe it works so well. Delivery is also very fast, it came within a day or two both times.

Received a fat stack of sand paper of various grits. Have been using them side by side with 3m and this paper wet sanding and this sandpaper holds up just as well as 3m. The backing of the paper is stiffer than 3m but didn't effect the small pieces ive been sanding. Excellent value, will for sure purchase again...instead of getting 4 sheets of various grits of 3m I get enough sand paper to get me thru years worth of projects.
