Fits and works perfectly! The hard-to-find 3/4" ID size. Recommended.
These fit great! I've tried screwing them on (the threaded end, not the barb, although the barb works fine too) 6 different types/brands of garden hoses and garden hose nozzles and sprinklers. Fits and works perfectly on all of them (the undamaged ones, see below).I know the other review here mentioned jamming up after the first thread, so I initially just bought two of these to test out (I've since bought 5 more). I have a guess what might have happened. On one of our existing brass garden hose ends I couldn't get more than 1 turn on the threads too, but then I looked at that hose end closely. It had been slightly mashed and wasn't round anymore, slightly D shaped. That is why this fitting couldn't go on, the garden hose end was damaged. Not the fault of this fitting. So be sure to inspect your existing hose end fittings for damage if this doesn't go on smoothly.I use the larger 3/4 I.D. garden hoses from the big box home stores, vs. the much more common 5/8 I.D. They come with 3/4" ID fittings but extremely hard to find full size 3/4" replacement hose end fittings like this!My one complaint: the hose clamps these come with (they are packed with a hose washer and hose clamp) should be wider. They work, but ideally more width should get you a stronger connection long term, in terms of clamping down well on the barb for dragging heavy things attached to the hose. Get some #10 or #12 stainless steel hose clamps here on Amazon and your are in business. Make sure you get the ones that are *all* 316 stainless steel - band, screw, and housing. The ones from the local home stores are cheapies with only a stainless band. The other two parts are zinc steel and will eventually rust on you. This same company sells the other end, the female fittings, here on Amazon and they work great too. I've bought several. As for why I'm having to buy replacement fittings, something else to watch out for. The 3/4" hoses from the big box stores come with aluminum ends. I put brass 3/4" valves on them. Guess what happened? Aluminum and brass don't like each other and galling occurs (tip: turns out if you apply Milk of Magnesia from the drug store it leaves a magnesium layer that stops this). Seizes on just like I had applied epoxy or something. No way to get the valve off without just cutting off the hose end and using this part to replace. So if you have aluminum hose ends make sure you use aluminum nozzles, valves, etc. This is another problem these nice 3/4" brass fittings solve, you are back to brass which is wayyy better.

If using Rainbird 1/2" drip hose....must read this review
After much time spent purchasing the incorrect fittings, I finally got it perfect with a CATCH!Use the 5/8" Barb if you intend to fit to a Rainbird 1/2 drip hose. When drying fitting, the drip hose's barb brass end may appear to be too small, but if you warm it up with a heat gun or hot water, it will fit snugly—especially with the thoughtful hose clamp.I intended to attach the barb end to a garden hose that is female. It began to leak as soon as I connected the two ends. You MUST use an additional washer on the inside and outside of the barb in order to halt the leak - see pictures. For every hose connector to function properly, TWO washers are used. All I got in my two connector pack were two rubber washers. Two more are required. Fortunately, I worked out and had a pack of extras sitting around. So be advised that in order to get it to function without leaking, you might need to buy a pack of extra washers. I know this will help out other people.

Worked just fine
Fit on the hose I needed. Nothing to complain about

Worst gasket ever...
The brass fitting and the clamp are fine. The white gasket that fits into the fitting is not. You can literally shake the end of the hose, albeit vigorously, and it will fall right out. Time to start shopping for replacements gaskets as I'm sure this one will be missing in action in no time.

Love it
Despite a high price, I must say that they are built tough and are easy to install compare to the ones I bought at Home Depot.
