This adaptor cleans the mounting area lots.
I was slightly scared when I ordered it and actually received because my vehicle a 2012 Ram 1500 was not listed on outside of package. I immediately went out to see if it fit. The mounting kit fit like the pictures. Now I have seen a few reviews talking about how the kit didn’t mount flush at face of radio. Mine looked great and when u place your mounting screws looks good. I can’t fault this kit as yes it does not look stock but Ram made the weird hole for the radio and this kit makes it look good. If u have gaps at the sides of your double din u need this kit.

No screws
Just be warned this doesn’t come with screws. When you contact the company for support they talk to you like you are an idiot and tell you to use the screws that come with your aftermarket radio. My radio didn’t come with any screws so that didn’t help me. The bracket is fine the headache of finding screws to fit sucks.

It'll get the job done.
Purchased this kit for a 2014 Grand Caravan install, using the Pioneer AVH-241EX as the radio. Overall, installation is a breeze and mounts to the radio very easily, and looks better than the Metra equivalent. Downside is this kits design is a bit older, dating back to when most double din radios had a longer 'nose' that would protrude from the main body. A lot of new radio, at least from what I've experienced, are favoring butting the screen all the way to the body itself to allow for shallower mounting depth, but also to give that extra quarter inch of screen real-estate. This leads to an issue where the left and right 'filler pieces' that are attached to the brackets with this kit protrude a bit further than the screen and a gap can be seen on both left/right sides. Using some black foam tape would cover this up, but I opted for modding the kit by filing down the edge of the brackets that rest again the body of the radio, allowing me to pull the brackets back a bit more. The problem here can then be that, depending on your radio, the provided screw slots on the bracket may not align to radio mounting holes.

If you have a Chrysler Sebring, Scosche is the right choice
I was keenly disappointed with the install done by my local car stereo shop, the Metra kit was crooked and not flush. Everything about my new stereo works great, but it looked off, crooked, not flush.....to the point of being a driving distraction. I researched options online to fix it myself. I got the Scosche and took my time to install it properly. I am fussy about my 2008 Sebring convertible, and it is nice to know you can still buy good product for a fair price.

Cheap plastic that barely doesn't fit (2015 Jeep Wrangler)
I got this to mount a Pioneer DMH-w4660nex in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler, which otherwise has a stock dashboard. Long story short, there was no way to get this mount to fit properly in the Wrangler with this radio. It was a little too wide and the only way to get the dash to snap closed was to move the radio too far back so it didn't look good. This is a short nose head unit; I would say that maybe this bracket works well for long nose units, but for my situation it was no good and I couldn't get it remotely flush to the dash. I ended up ordering the Metra 95-6511 and that worked so much better and feels much higher quality than this SCOSCHE. The SCOSCHE feels like cheap plastic and I really prefer the matt appearance of the Metra vs the shiny SCOSCHE. The SCOSCHE is also visibly hollow so if there's any gap you can see straight into it. Overall, if you're putting a short nose Pioneer in a Wrangler JK, I'd avoid the SCOSCHE.
