Exact fit. No leaks!
Exact fit. I was hesistant to not use a VW cover, but at 88 dollars compared to 200+ and 1 day shipping I figured I should try it. Was surprised to see how it EXACTLY matched up to what came off the car. Same weight and quality. Just like factory you have to use sealant. So there is no gasket. No leaks, worked great! The cover is actually an 06K109210. The second generation TSI cover.

Missing pieces
This timing cover fit the car ok and has the correct timing marks on it, and looks nice, which is why it got two stars from me. But the problem is that this cover does not have the oil diversion plates spot welded on the inside. These are important to properly lubricant the timing chain as it rotates by channeling oil directly on the lower gear. Without the diversion plates, this cannot be considered the same as the original. This would likely only become a problem over the long term, but I returned mine.
