Good Night Los Angeles (Good Night Our World)

Gave this book to a friend moving away from Los Angeles to a new state. It will be a good reminder of what she's leaving behind!

Book is terribly written - truly, truly - no cadence, rhyme, odd phrasing, nothing lyrical. Very very bad writing. Also the entire book is tongue-in-cheek ragging on Los Angeles (traffic etc.), covers a strange smattering of places. The back image literally has a huge rat in front of the Hollywood sign. Read it once and tossed it in the return pile!

I love these Good Night series. I like purchasing this for the cities that we've either lived in our visited. It's great when we read through an area that they have visited. Their reaction is always - "I've been there, mommy!". It's a nice way to go through through our vacation.

More fun for adults than for children. No much rhyming. But covers LA classics well.

Get this book every where I travel for my grandkids !!!! I love it

I lived in LA for 10 years and just moved to Minnesota after our daughter was born (we also got Good Night Minnesota at the same time) - happy to read this to her so she knows what her mom and I would do for fun - pretty good coverage of the sights of the city.

We love Los Angeles and want our boy to love it too! We live here and hope to be able to visit all the places the book explores. They hit all the major spots and have fun pictures. Recommended if you, too, love Los Angeles as a resident or visitor!

The book itself is very cute for little children. The pictures are very bright and colorful, the rhymes easy to understand. There is a tremendous issue though. The book arrived in a pretty bad state. The edges are torn and missing color, some pages stuck together. It looks like it has been used for years, which is quite annoying when you want to give it as a gift.

Good up to 3 years, not more. In any case it was useful to prepare my 5 years old daughter to the trip.
