First grade students enjoyed learning about tadpoles turning into frogs

No bends or rips.

If you want to be able to explain the life cycle of a frog to a young child, this is a great book to use! I read it to the students in my four year olds class (who just happen to be named the Tadpole group) and they loved the illustrations and learning about how frogs grow. They wanted to find a pond immediately so they could gather water with eggs in it and do the experiment themselves. Not a bad idea as part of an early childhood curriculum.

Wonderful story about the frog life cycle. Realistic fiction story that clearly shows and explains the frog life cycle . Story takes the eggs all the way through tadpole, froglet into adult frog. I used it as an introduction to our frog unit in kindergarten. Students went back to it again and again. Simple easy to read perfect for children ages 3-7.

My son and I both enjoy this book. It has a nice story about a mom and daughter sharing an activity while also teaching about the life cycle of frogs. I can ask questions related to sequencing easily and a good intro to biology.

Such a phenomenal book. I only wish it was aboard book. My toddler loves it!

I used this in my classroom when we were talking about frogs. The students enjoyed the information and the pictures.

I am a Montessori teacher and I bought this book to enhance the science theme this month- Amphibians and the Life Cycle of a Frog. The children ages 3-6 absolutely love to listen to this reality based story of a young girl and her mother who collect frog spawn from a local pond and then observe metamorphosis first-hand. Very delightful. I would recommend it for use in the home or school.

I had bought the book to return to the library since the kids had misplaced the CD that comes with it. I did eventually find the CD but I had already placed an order by then. The seller was great and offered to refund the amount but Canada Post rip-offs wanted to charge me more than $10 to ship it back to UK (which was outrageous of course) at which point I decided to keep the book for myself. The kids do read it from time to time especially when they are into frogs mood :)

My son is raising frogs from spawn for the first time this year and the book has really enriched his learning. It would be perfect to read with a class, too.

Lovely story for my water topic at school

The condition was good. The story is nice and helped my little girl learn about the life cycle of a frog.

We have a few of these Nature stories now and this is a good one. Told nicely as a story while still containing facts, made it more interesting to the kids. Includes a CD which narrates the story. Lovely bright clear pictures, both my children liked it and wanted to read it again and again.
