.... so after 8 years of carefully looking after my Macbook power supply the cable finally split and they are very expensive to replace with an original Apple item.... so I took the chance, after reading many different reviews for different items, of ordering this particular brand as I have previously bought other items that they sell and been satisfied with their productsIt isn’t a large amount purchase but the things I will use it for are valuable and important and, so far, I am extremely pleased with my decision!The 2 usb charging points are proving to be very useful and even when I am using my Macbook at the same time as keeping other things on charge I am seeing that the power unit only gets warm and never hot. I am also very pleased to see that there is no indication of any side effects on the computer whilst it is plugged in to the charger (other reviews for alternative products talk of interference and electrical spikes as well as overheating of the power supply)The stand it comes with is a useful way of setting up the power supply and it also helps in cooling the unit as well ....... all in all a win-win situation and one that I am very pleased with

Fed up with the appalling quality of the original Apple Magsafe 1 charger (I've bought two in the past 4 years), I liked the idea of the Magsafe 1 cable plugging into the charger so that if the Magsafe connector breaks, as it inevitably does, I don't have to buy a new charger - just the cable.After a week of use I'm impressed. The charger appears to run cooler than the Apple original and there are no ill effects with my MacBook Pro. Could this be the perfect alternative I wonder?

At 100% charge I experienced constant dropouts/disconnects whenever the Macbook was under any CPU load - even scrolling down a web page would trigger it. Very annoying to have the screen dim and the charge light go off/on every few seconds. I emailed the seller and they confirmed that this is actually intended behaviour and not a fault?It also caused numerous issues with the Macbook's built-in Trackpad while connected, causing erratic, stuttery finger tracking and mis-recognition of multi-touch gestures.I would suggest avoiding this charger and going for an official Apple one, even a refurbished unit, unless they iron out these issues. Not worth the hassle for the price, unless you only ever charge your Mac while it's not in use and unplug it once charged. If you're replacing a dead Macbook charger, you can spend a lot of money for an OEM from Apple that has horrible ratings, or you can get this for a lot less money, and you won't have to replace it if the cable wears. You can just plug in a replacement cable, which is how Apple should do it. Also, you can swap between Magsafe and Magsafe 2 cables. Love it.

Good stop-gap charger if the original one becomes faulty. wouldn't recommend for long term use. is prone to over heating if used domestically but a smart option for bulk buying for educational purposes or small sessions/in frequent usage etc etc

Very happy with this product. It’s a generic charger that didn’t try to just copy the original, but instead a new and very practical design. And you can also charge a couple of other things at the same time.

After my 3rd official macbook charger had split its cable I decided to give this one a go and am perfectly happy with it. It does what it says it will do and thats about all I can say. The presence of a replaceable cable is a nice change from the official charger.

After just under a years use (only used for occasional use) it has started melting!!! HUGE fire hazard. DO NOT BUY!!!!Also saw sparks inside the boxed section. DO NOT BUY!
