For Garand Owners Out There
When the M1 Garand was introduced in 1937, no one dreamed that this battle rifle would be so popular after WWII. Cleaning has always been sort of backwards on this rifle and I was never a fan of the technique but what can you do? A Dewey cleaning rod inserted into the muzzle and heading for the breach with a jag on the end will have to suffice for me; I am not a big fan of bore snakes. How do you clean a bore snake each time after a pass through the barrel? Cleaning patches are cheap and one-time use only. One area that always bugged me was the chamber; the GI issue chamber brush is 'OK' but I bought the Pro Shot flexible cleaning tool and it works great. After scrubbing the chamber out, I would take the Pro Shot with a chamber brush on it and put a cleaning patch on the tip and wipe out all the crud that you can never get otherwise. I thought the chamber was always getting cleaned before but now this is the way to go for me. Probably not an original idea but this flex tool has enough length to get the chamber brush and cleaning patch all the way to the rifling from the breech end so you know have adequate coverage. This tool does not have the Dewey ball bearing feature so twisting clockwise will ensure you get the chamber clean.Just my 2 cents on this and I took 2 pictures to illustrate what I wrote.

Very handy
A simple tool that comes in very handy to clean rifle chambers. Screw a chamber brush onto the flexible shaft, wet with your favorite solvent, insert into the chamber and twist back and forth. Do the same with a mop. I find it easier to use than the rigid tool that's part of the M1A rifle GI cleaning kit. Works best on any large caliber rifle that isn't easily broken down to use a cleaning rod from chamber to muzzle, and have the room to maneuver to tool. However, the shaft isn't quite flexible enough to use on .22 cal rifles. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it.

Works well with my lever guns
Breech access for cleaning is a problem with a couple of my lever guns (Winchester Model 88's) This bore cleaner is flexible enough to reach the chamber area and give it a good cleaning - without a complicated disassembly. Works well with my bolt rifles too.

Works great
This works much better than the solid one. It is easy to insert and is built to last.

Good quality
This is a good quality tool; sturdy and with just the right amount of flexibility for an AK.

Nice tool made in the USA
Very well made tool from the USA. I used it on my Mini-14 to clean the chamber and the flexible shaft bends to fit inside the receiver to do the job. Will try it shortly with my Marlin 1894. You don't really need its flexibility there since removing the bolt gives a straight shot to the chamber, but it will simply work well there, too.

Great chamber cleaning rod
As with all the other Pro Shot cleaning supplies I have this is top notch. The flexible rod makes it easier to use on some guns.

Too flexible
The product is well made however may not be suitable for all applications. I purchased it to clean the bore on a rifle that removing the bolt is problematic to use a solid rod. I found that I simply could not generate sufficient torque to get the brush to turn due to the flexible shaft simple twisting and absorbing the turning motion.
