At time of writing we are living in exceptional times with Covid-19 having changed everything and only some students currently going to school. My Y1 child is currently going to school 4-times-a-week in a reduced-size class, and term is due to end soon as the summer holidays approach. Normally the end of term would mean giving the teacher a gift, and I think this year with the current circumstances there is even more appreciation for the work of teachers, so even more need for a special gift.This is a little gift that will help show that appreciation. It is a hanging, wooden heart-shaped plaque with a rhyming message written on it saying, "Teachers like you are precious and few, you're so lovely and caring, I will miss you! Thank you."It comes with string attached so it is ready to hang straight away, or to hang around a separate gift you're getting for the teacher (normally for us that is a box of chocolates). Also it's inexpensive and unlike chocolates it lasts. Plus it comes in a nice, cardboard envelop that fits it perfectly.Perhaps it would have been good to get an option to have this personalised further with the teacher's name and a bespoke message, but that would probably cost more, and given it is specifically aimed at teachers already it is already more bespoke than the standard, lone box of chocolates we normally would get. Also in normal years I would have three children going to school so it would have been good if there were multi-packs perhaps, which offered a lower price per unit.Overall though given what this is at a low price (at time of writing under £4, similar to the price of a fancy card) I think this is worthy of a 5-star rating. And maybe in years to come it will be still be hanging on the teacher's wall giving them a daily reminder that they are appreciated for what they do.

I often steer away from things like this as I imagine teachers must get loads of them but I got this one as a little added extra for my son to give to his teacher along with the main present. It has a lovely sentiment on it and she was very pleased with it. It's not that thick but it's sturdy enough and well made. It came in a piece of card that is folded up to produce a kind of envelope which I got my son to write on. All in all, very pleasing.
