Incredibly fun and a laugh riot with friends
As skeptical as I was, I am proven completely wrong. Nintendo Land is full of fun content and the presentation is complete with Nintendo magic we expect when trying out a new Nintendo system. When you first begin Nintendo Land and are first introduced to this virtual Nintendo theme park, you may get a tear in your eye or a wave of nostalgia. Seeing the different "attractions" as you walk around the park, you'll wonder why there isn't already a Nintendo Land (and Nintendo World, of course in the spirit of Disney World.) The various games are quite fun; I'm sure other reviews have already described each in detail, so I will give some highlights from my first couple weeks of playing: --Luigi's Ghost Mansion: the player with the Wii U gamepad is the ghost, and the other players can't see the ghost on the TV most of the time. The first time reactions to a player suddenly being caught by the unseen ghost player are priceless. --Mario Chase: the player running away has the gamepad advantage and can see the map, while the other players chasing him cannot see the map or the player unless they actually find him (no screen-watching!). An instant-replay on the top down map is as funny as playing, as you watch everyone's paths, near-misses, or hilarious take-downs. --Ninja Castle: awesome music and setting. It boils down to an arcade shooting gallery with cardboard bad guys, but you can control the strength of your (ninja blade) shot by the flick of your finger on the gamepad. --Legend of Zelda Battle Quest: the player with the gamepad gives cover to the swordsmen with arrows. Once the archer gets the hang of it, there are many "all-right!!!" moments. Encountering a new tune here and there from the Zelda repertoire is just great and I keep playing partly to hear the next one. --Yoshi's Fruit Adventure: a brand new addictive puzzle game great for hand, eye, brain coordination. Yoshi fans will love the cute setting, and I just can't get over how new yet obvious it feels. --Metroid: the players on foot will enjoy watching the pilot get used to the flight controls with the Wii U gamepad, but once they do...! Excellent mix of shooting action; players on foot use Wii remotes and nunchuks to walk around and aim, with several of Samus' abilities. Even the grapple beam--which can even attach to the gunship! Too many surprises and laugh out loud moments to list here. This is great fun with friends and family (and my wife and I have played with both!).

Great Condition. Love this game!
Nintendoland arrive sealed and in perfect condition. We picked up where we left off with our old copy that we ruined by taking out of the wii-u without exiting the game lol. Lesson learned.

Great family game or just a way to kill some time by yourself game
The games are put together perfectly. My six year old daughter is able to have fun playing the games even though she can't master the actual controls yet. She enjoys being able to see herself as a Mii in the game itself. My personal favorite is the Donkey Kong puzzle game... like a modern amped up version of the old wooden Labyrinth marble game! Nintendo fully utilizes the 5th controller for this game and really wows my friends and family when they witness it for the first time. Many 'easter eggs' to unlock and a slew of challenges to keep you coming back for more. The social aspect is great too because your theme park gets visitors from other Mii players. Will definitely be looking forward to a sequel game or new downloadable content if Nintendo decides to go that route. I highly recommend this game if you enjoy the party style games or if you are just a Nintendo fan of their classics as this is a perfect mash up of all their hit title characters.

Great compilation of minigames thats fun for the whole family.
Want to play alone? No problem! There are single player modes as well. First, I'll talk about the good. Don't expect a jaw dropping experience from playing this game. In a way, consider this the Wii Sports for the Wii U. It's fun and great to play whenever friends or family are over, not so fun when you play alone. The mini-games even have their own difficulty measures to help players gauge which games may be easiest for them to play. The coin mechanic adds an incentive to keep playing as coins help you unlock souvenirs and landmarks to help decorate your "land", the place where you spend most of your time. The minigames have more than one level so don't expect repetitiveness. For example, the Link minigame has you travel around Hyrule defeating enemies. Stages go from 1-10, with 10 being the hardest. The bad? Well, if you plan on not buying a nunchuck or wiimote you are out of luck for some minigames. For example, the Link game requires you to have a Wiimote with Wii motion plus in order to play as a swordsman. If you only have a gamepad, then you can only play as an archer. There are also games that require 2 players or more i n order to play. That can restrict your gaming experience if you don't have anyone to play this game with. Overall, this game is very fun, just heed the warnings I set forth and make the best judgement regarding your situation.

Fun for everyone!
I bought this game thinking it would be like Wii Sports, in the sense that it would be easy, approachable and that could be enjoyed by anyone. I was not wrong, but this is SO much more satisfying, robust, fun and just plain enjoyable. I play it with my 5-year-old son and he loves it. It is easy, it is simple, but the sheer variety of games, the familiar Nintendo themes (we loves the lost woods song), the sounds, the simple-yet-so-fulfilling and fun games totally make it worth it. My son loves the Zelda and the Donkey Kong games so much, and so do I a 37-year old experienced gamer. This one is going to be played over and over for a long time. This is a perfect bunch of games to play in good company.

Nintendo Land is a collection of sub-games - some big, some small. Almost all are fun (I only didn't really like the Donkey Kong tilting game). The graphics in many of the games are gorgeous, and the music is extremely well done. There are multiplayer games which can be played by up to 5 people, and the player holding the Gamepad always has a special role that's different from the ones with Wii Remotes. The single player games are fun too, but multiplayer makes for some really fun times. I'd say it's absolutely more fun than Wii Sports ever was! Please note the only negative review of this game comes from someone who thought it was a Wii game. Amazon.ca is inept and hasn't created a section for Wii U games, to make clear that it's a new system. To be clear: this will only work on a Wii U console, which is Nintendo's new High-Definition system.

I played this game with my gaming club, and even though we had Mario Kart 8 and Smash 4, it was this game we played for hours on end without getting bored or frustrated. The games are all really well-designed, and they hit a great balance between being easy for beginners to learn and not being based on luck. They're also fun to play over and over to try different strategies. I can't believe it wasn't well-reviewed when it came out--it's really fun and a great use of the Wii U's capabilities as a system! The perfect party game.
