Exceeded Expectations - Great Value
I bought this kit to do a logic board swap on an iPhone 5SE. I didn't want to spend a ton of money being that the phone isn't worth much so I took a chance on this kit. I had low expectations given the unknown brand and cheap price, but I was very surprised when I opened the box. The quality of the tools far exceeded my expectations. There is a lot of things included, so I'll go through them separately.Suction Cup Pliers: These arrived with the suction cups distorted into a useless shape. I'm not sure why they don't just leave them uninstalled from the tool to prevent this, especially since they are aware of this problem. The included instructions explain in somewhat comical chinglish how to straighten them. I removed the suction cups and put them in a cup of hot water as directed and they indeed were able to fully recover to their normal shape. There is also an identical second set that can be used as well. Once I did that, the tool itself functioned very well and easily popped the display off the phone. It seems to be of good quality and I think it would hold up to opening many phones.Screwdrivers: The pentalobe screwdriver fit the screws well and I had no trouble using it to open the phone. The same can be said for the Phillips head screwdrivers. I have a German made Wiha set available, and while those are nicer, these were absolutely functional and I used them throughout the job just to see how they did. I didn't strip any screws and there was no sign of wear to the tips when I was done. The sizes are on a label molded into the handle which is a nice touch. The plastic handles have a bit of flash around the edges but nothing that couldn't be easily trimmed with a knife if so desired.Tweezers: I think out of everything I was most surprised by these. Low cost tweezers are rarely any good. These tweezers are impressive. They are ground to a very nice finish and have extremely sharp tips. I didn't use them much on the phone repair except to grab a few screws, but since then I have reached for them repeatedly and they are easily capable of pulling fine "peach fuzz" hairs, splinters, and manipulating extremely small objects.Spudgers: The spudgers are of good quality and feel like the same kind of robust plastic the real original ones I have from 3M/SCS are. The wide flat one could be good for prying glued components, but the sizes on the others are a bit odd - they're quite large for phone sized components. I can see them being useful for other jobs but I would have liked at least one with a smaller size in this kit. I didn't use these much during my repair.Sim card tool: It's a pretty soft and bendable material. As long as you're careful it does the job, but its nothing special.Opening/Guitar picks: These are a basic opening pick. Having two sizes is nice. I didn't really use them on this job but for something with glue I could see them being useful.Opening cards: These are of a tough flexible plastic. I didn't need them for this repair, but they look like they would work just fine for a job where they are needed.Cleaning cloth: It's a basic cleaning cloth. Nothing exciting but it will get the fingerprints off when you're done.In all, there is a whole lot of very functional tools that are far better than the "one time use" junk included with some repair kits included here. All you need to do to see the value here is to go try and purchase the same items in this kit from [a large supplier of repair tools with i and fix and it in their name]. Just their suction cup opener costs more than this kit...

It works
I have to destroy old phones and tablets for my job and I have to shred them in a HDD shredder. Problem is that lithium ion batteries catch fire in a shredder so I have to take them all out first. Apply a little heat and use this tool and the display comes right off. There is also a number of tools, I’ve only used the plastic lever tools not the micro torx set but I’m sure this would be great for fixing phones too. Great kit.

It does get the job done.
This is a very complete kit for taking apart your phone. I found that one of the suction cups was warped and was difficult to hold the phone. It does come with an extra, but I was ultimately able to get the phone open. It has all of the screw drivers that you need. There is a guide in the instructions that tells you what each screwdriver’s size is. It would have been nice if the sizes had been labeled on the screwdrivers themselves. They do have a model number on them, but I had to keep looking back and forth. It’s not what I would call an extremely high quality set, but it’s good enough to get the battery changed on the phone. As for changing the battery in an iPhone, it’s not an easy task. Some of the instruction videos make it look easy. It’s not. I’m an engineer with 44 years of experience doing repairs and maintenance as well as design and building radio and TV broadcasting equipment, some of it is very small and tight, but nothing like the iPhone. Think hard about it if you’re a novice working on electronics, but if you’re comfortable, take your time and hopefully you’ll be successful. I was amazed at how small the screws are. Extremely easy to lose. Good luck.

The suction cups were quickly ruined.
These seemed very useful but didn't end up working for me. Maybe they just weren't the right tool for my particular job. I was using them to open a phone with glass on both sides. I also needed to heat the phone up to the point where it was painful to touch (in order to melt the glue holding the back in place). I thought the heat might have been the cause of the failure. They attach screws to the suction cups, which you then screw into the ends of the pliers. When using the pliers the screws pulled out of the suction cups and are now impossible to put back in. This happened to two of the four suction cups included. A third one arrived bent backwards and so does not provide any suction at all and I cannot bend it to the normal position. Also, more of just an annoyance, the ends of the pliers are designed to move up and down. When applying force this caused the suction cups to slide around on the glass which made it difficult to use.

Suction cups were destroyed within 30 seconds.
To be fair, the only part I attempted to use was the actual suction cup tool to separate a Galaxy S7. Within the first 30 seconds both sets of suction cups were destroyed because the small screw that holds them onto the tool pulled through the soft rubber and cannot be reinstalled. The tool comes with a set pre-installed and a 2nd set in a bag. The pre-installed set was deformed from being clamped together in the box and they were difficult to use anyways.I think I'd look elsewhere or maybe spend a little more on something different. Had to return since it didn't do the one thing it was designed for...
