If you are too picky, it might not work for you. However, if you are willing to try new things, this soup variety could be a good starter meal as a favorite snack, an addition to a lunch, or at any time. I like majority of these soups, and have my favorites. However, I tried a basil one, and unfortunately, it did not work out for me, but I am still going to continue buying these soups because they are convenient, easy to use, taste fairly good and an excellent addition to any meal, or by themselves.

I bought these despite the poor reviews which is not my usual MO, but there are so few freeze dried soups that have meat & are also gf, & these being organic with such clean ingredients as well... I decided it was worth it to give them a try. They just arrived yesterday so I've only had a chance to try one - the Savoy Beef. I used 8 oz of hot water & the flavor was great! As others have said the quantity & small size of the beef & veg could be better. I would definitely refer to it more as broth than soup. It kind of straddles an awkward line. As in the freeze dried bits either need to be much larger & in much greater quantity OR they should be entirely ground down so that it really is truly broth. I bought them to potentially put in my 72 hr kit for emergency use & they'll be just fine for this purpose & I might even keep some on hand for camping or an easy snack at home.

The packages weren’t sealed properly. Three were open on the bottom and the contents spilled out into outside packaging. Not worth the price either.

Caveat: I got the multipack and thus far have only tried the beef/mushroom. If I was dieting, I'd definitely be using it as a tool - the flavor was very rich and full. I hear what people say about the texture: it's freeze-dried, so it takes a long time for the soup to fully rehydrate and the whole bits of dehydrated vegetables are going to be chewy. (I wonder what would happen if you put it in a thermos of hot woter in the morning and then had it for lunch? Might try that.) That didn't bother me, especially since the pieces were so small that they didn't really need much chewing: I tend to like chewy foods.I was a little concerned when I saw tumeric on the label, as that's often erroneously added as a health food (the scientific community has said the benefits of tumeric are overstated) but fortunately, it actually complements the flavor of the broth without making it taste like ballpark mustard.I question whether the cost is in line with the amount of ingredients offered...yes, they do make an 8oz cup of soup, but I wonder what the cost would be to assemble this myself from dehydrated foods. That said, it's a good recipe and is made the way I would make it...convenience isn't nothing.If you are backpacking, I'd consider these a flavor enhancer for some kind of higher-calorie food...because you aren't going to get far on 50 calories. I do like that there are actual measurable amounts of micronutrients though. The soup tasted much richer than you would think 50 calories would taste! I can definitely imagine this going well with something that has the calories, like freeze-dried beans or bean flakes.

I never write negative reviews but these were just terrible. Of the bunch, the picante beef is the only one we didn't immediately pour down the drain. There's not really any substance to these "soups", more like broth. I have had much more enjoyable travel broth experiences just buying powdered bone broth and adding a knorr builloin cube to it.

I am guilty of needing something, anything for flavor and hand to mouth while dieting. These instant soups are all natural and they taste great! I can sip on this soup and it distracts me from other snacks and food seeking when trying to diet. Fill the mug, let the dry ingredients "cook" in the boiling water for a few minutes, stir AND enjoy. I am quite proud to have found myself a healthy diet aid that has no chemicals or bad ingredients! I also am going to order my favorite flavors for my bug out bag, emergency supplies stock. I'm sure it keeps a long long time .

Delicious, low carb and convenient. I love that it's not full of processed junk and they are very tasty.
