This is a great introduction book. It's a great book that covers a lot but doesn't go onto detail on things like say skin problems (it will just say how often to bathe and to look out for skin issues on folds) it doesn't recommend any products. If you're looking for more of a what do in XYZ situation this is not the book you want. This talks about picking a dog, knowing this breed well so you can decide if it's right for your home and living stituation. There are great tips on adopting a pup from reliable breeders.

So in preparation of getting my dream dog I ordered this book to be more prepared in hopes i can learn a few things before our lil pup arrived! I don't understand all the negative comments here .. when I was looking for a book to prepare me, all the comments threw me off. I'm glad i went with my instinct and went with this book! I learned a lot! I can understand how some of the reviews said it repeated itself and yes it did but in appropriate times because it was part of the selection you were reading, therefore I think she repeated it so we are reminded. I frankly think it was worth it, gave me info i needed.

Didn’t have enough information on potty training.

In the processes of getting a Frenchie from a breeder and she sent over a 20 page PDF file for new owners. Several thing in this book contradict her info. Also the author contradicts himself in the book. The big issue for me was the use of a collar vs a harness. The author says he uses a Martingale Resco and everything else i have read says this is dangerous for this breed. As well as the breeders recommendation. All the information I have read says don't use a collar as it is bad for Frenchies necks.However, lots of helpful tips and information in the book. I’m glad I made the purchase. Good training tips.

Love the info in this book! They made it seem like it was straight forward to teach Frenchies tricks based on this book, but if you read the interviews at the end, own a frenchie, or ask someone who does you might know they can be pretty difficult to train.

Helped me out understand a lot for my fur baby ive studied it and have put a lot of things in practice and have noticed that they work

I only wish the writer wrote about typical medical problems seen with this breed. The information is basic for any dog. A few chapters were useful. Over all a good book

I was very disappointed, while it had many topics that I wanted information on, there was only a few sentences in each. No information was in-depth.

Total rubbish ! Repetitive content that I’m sure is the same in every book with just the different breed name inserted!Even someone who has never owned a dog would know the very basic advice in this book ! Also should state somewhere that it’s American. Better information and advice on breed forums on Facebook and that’s saying something !!

I have had French bulldog guide books before but non were as good as this one, very good, practical and useful information presented in a lighthearted way. Although I been brought up with and been around dogs all my life, over the past several year with frenchies I already know and have experience with the bread but I will certainly be referring to this book or guidance, the other books I have will be confined to the attic.

A must have book for anyone looking for a french bulldog.Easy to read but also very consiced

Nice little book. I don't really know what else I can say about it it hasn't really told me anything that I didn't already know.

Nice guide but could be more comprehensive.
