I bought these clippers for my Maine Coon Kitten. I'll spare you the details, but let's just say he needs some grooming for sanitary purposes. I had been using an old pair of human hair clippers, but they were dull and pointy. These clippers are sharp, and they have rounded tips to protect him from slip ups. He tends to get squirmy when it's time for a clipping. Overall, great product. Would buy again.

I purchased these shears to groom my miniature labradoodle. I spent forever reading reviews and and debating between several choices. Ultimately, I decided these scissors were the most cost effective, while remaining the best quality. In one regard, these shears met my expectation. They are very sharp and easily cut my dogs silky smooth fur. However, I can only cut for a very short period of time due to how uncomfortable they are! Perhaps, for those with smaller hands, this is not an issue. That said, my hands are definitely not extra large and after only a few minutes of cutting, the pressure, predominantly on my thumb, is intensely uncomfortable. So, I have a pair of sharp scissors that I really, really wanted to love but can't because I can only stand to use them for a few minutes at a time.

Great scissors but I thought they were MUCH SMALLER .... I was looking for scissors to trim a shihtzhu’s face (around her eyes n nose) these r wayyyy huge. Oh well I’m sure they will come in Handy for something while grooming her. These are Well constructed, Sharp & cut well!!!

The rounded tip on the blades were nice and the price was cheap but the scissors did not work.It would not cut through the hair and instead the hair would bend between the blades.Then the screw fell out so I screwed it back together and tried to cut again, but right away the pieces fell out and now one of the pieces is lost so I can't try to screw it back together again.

Like many other one star reviews this doesn't cut my poodles hair. Her hair just folds over. I think they're defective in someway that the blades don't come close enough together or something. Also very big and bulky compared to my usual brand. Tried them because they were half the price but you get what you pay for. We will use it for some other purpose rather than bothering to return. Would not recommend for dog grooming.

I bought these scissors to cut mats and tangled out of my fluffy dog. It’s larger than expected and necessary but gets the job done. My complaint is that it does not open and close very smoothly. It’s like they were tightened too much but at the same time the packaging says to leave it as is. I feel like I have less control which could potentially be dangerous, so I just have to be extra careful when using them.

I got this to trim the hair around my puppy's eyes. The tips are rounded, but there are still very sharp edges at the tip that make it unusable for this purpose. What were they thinking when they designed these?!

UPDATE: while trying to remove a mat in my cat’s fur, these sliced her open. The result was a 5 hour trip to MedVet and $300 in vet bills. Has NEVER happened before after 6 years. These are DANGEROUSLY sharp and completely capable of cutting skin! They may be fine if you are careful and your pet sits still but I will never, ever use these again.Perfect. My cat gets matted fur under her armpits from kneading her blanket because she won’t let me brush her under there. When I notice them I wait until she is sleeping on her side and then I cut them off. She wakes up quickly and runs so with my old hair scissors I’d only get one snip or two because I had to try sawing through the mats.These are perfect - safe and won’t cut her and sharp and effective enough that I can get in and out before she even notices I’m cutting her fur off. One snip is all it takes even to cut through a thick mat.I cant speak to how they are for a ton of cutting or grooming but if you want a really sharp pair these are great. Just what we needed 😊

These scissors work well and are safe with the rounded tops, especially for for wiggles puppies
