Ideal for what I want it for! cutting coving mitres
I deliberated about the best way to cut 127mm supercove coving. I didn't trust myself with the contoured template method and a Stanley knife. This mitre box is just the job. Its sturdy, wide and deep. You can clamp it into a workmate bench which I would do but ours is 100 miles away at sons house..borrowed and yet to be returned! But it has some counter sunk holes and I plan to screw it to a plank of wood and G clamp that to my table. A very fine tooth saw should then give me a fine exact cut for my mitres. I think this simple device would be fine for skirting and architrave with care but its really too wide for picture framing as its not adjustable. Good price, prompt delivery. Very happy.
