DisneyAdvanced Talking Buzz Lightyear Action Figure 12" (Official Disney Product)

This is the coolest toy I’ve seen in a long time. I have a 3 and 4 year old boy and girl who just discovered Toy Story and they LOVE Buzz. Ordered 2 of these and was a little worried because of some of the reviews. Both arrived on time, same packaging and effects, however 1 had Bonnie on his sole, the other did not. Panned out well for us—we were able to tell them apart! These little guys are SUPER sturdy. Saw another review that said he is too heavy, totally agree but these Buzzes have not been put down since he arrived, so standing is not an issue for us. We were able to get him to stand up, just a little top heavy.This guy is COOL! He has a working helmet, laser, a panel on his arm for communicating with space command (I missed that one, the kids found it). He has retractable light up wings, hands and arms are ready for karate chops and hi-fives. And he says tons of stuff. He will also say special phrases if he comes across another Interactable.Can’t give this guy enough stars, he is awesome! And at the price…..if you have a Buzz fan do not pass this up!

My son at the age of 2 had an unfortunate accident with his leg and had to be in a cast for 3 months. My dearest best friend, sent him this toy as he was super into toy story. He had his pal woody, but somewhere between relocating we missed placed woody. However, Buzz remains. A comfort toy for my son. No assembly required, durable quality, and as close to detail and size as presented in Toy Story.

This toy is bettr than the original release buzz. How do i know, i bought them both. The original i got was broken, the wing mechanism was junk, this redesign of the wings is far superior and it has lights as well as karate chop action that the other buzz did not. I can see a few paint issues and think that for the price even with a few small flaws, this is an excellent buzz. My box looked like the space ship but was ripped in two areas which were stress points. The only thing that buzz doesnt do is glow in the dark where his chest plate is painted green.I know that the toy may break with intense play but i am trying to teach my now four year old how to take care of his toys, so if this breaks, he will have a good lesson. He is so excited with buzz, he must sleep next to him and take him everywhere.This is one of the rare cases the later versions are better than the original.

I wanted to wait a little while before writing a review to see if the quality of this Buzz Lightyear action figure would stand up against my wonderful, yet very descructive two in a half year old son. I'm happy to say, it has so far! He has taken it with him everywhere he has gone, including to bed. He received this Buzz Lightyear action figure and a Woody pull string doll. The Buzz Lightyear action figure has held up very strongly. Since its made out of a plastic, I was pretty worried that he would drop it (or throw it) on the ground and it would break, however so far (knock on wood) it is still 100% in tact. The wings pop open, he talks, he lights up, his joints move, the ANDY on the bottom of his shoe is such a cute touch, his helmet (not sure if that's what it should be called) moves back so you can touch his face, it even does the chopping move with his hand. I really don't think I would change a single thing about this Buzz Lightyear action figure! Such a great toy, that really makes my son a happy little boy! Not only would I highly recommend this item to someone, I would also purchase, again, in the future for my friends children (who love Toy Story) as a present (birthday, Christmas, etc).

I'd rather give this 3.5 stars. This is one of my son's favorite toys, he absolutely loves pushing the buttons to hear Buzz talk (he got Buzz when he was a year old and has yet to see the movie).What's good about it is that Buzz says A LOT of phrases, some of them quite long, so there is a lot of variety. Unfortunately, there is no volume or off button, so it can get a little jarring listening to Buzz for hours. I'm disappointed that the laser sound is different from the movie, but I don't know how much that will bother my son when he's old enough to watch the movie, so it might just be me.The "karate chop" feature broke almost immediately, so definitely taking off a star for that. Beyond that, the wear and tear that I have noticed after about 4 months of play with my son is that the color on the blue button is wearing off and the green from Buzz's outfit wears onto the white of his space boots. Near the corner of one of Buzz's wings where it retracts, the sticker has started to rub off a little. Buzz will not stand up on his own, he is too heavy and awkward for that, which is too bad.But overall, this toy has withstood a lot of regular manhandling from a young child. He's dropped, repeatedly, he gets picked up by his arms, legs, or helmet and is still in one piece. The wings are surprisingly strong considering all the drops to the hardwood floor. He loves to drag him around and Buzz has so far withstood all the rough play and has not disappointed my son. I'd recommend the toy, but would warn you that Buzz is loud and very chatty. Otherwise, I think it's a decent toy for the price.
