Ok quality
Ok quality. A bit flimsy but does the job and is light weight. Took a little time to arrive.

A decent and useful little gadget that beats a lot of the competition
I had something very similar for many years, and it travelled very far with me, so useful and easy to have about one's person. I was, therefore, delighted to find this version. It does exactly what I currently need, with a sharper image than considerably more expensive binoculars. The fact that these binocs are so lightweight is both a plus and a minus - yes, much easier for someone with arthritic and muscular problems to pick up, but on the other hand more vulnerable, hence one star off. My previous version was metal and did last decades but I suspect this won't. I am buying another one to set aside, so that is how pleased I am with the performance! For theatre and opera, sight-seeing, reading the small print on the T.V. (not everyone has a screen covering half the wall) this modest little gem will do nicely.

retro opera glasses look - only these are plastic
yes they may not be made out of metal - ike the originals from 1960s + 70s - but they still look the part & being made out of plastic are much light - they work well with wheel to focus - we go to the theatre a lot - especially up in the gods sections & as our eyesight aint what it used to be - we need these

As per some other buyers' reviews, yes, these weeny binoculars seem cheap for the money, are fragile-ish, and light-weight plastic of some sort (ie, not at all "hardy"). BUT . . . they were exactly what I wanted and needed. I have a set of huge, 3-ton binoculars that may help me see an owl on a high tree branch, but do absolutely nothing in the 5 or so feet between me and my somewhat small TV (by today's standards). Because the TV is smallish and my vision has gotten blurry-ish, I can't read small print on the tube and haven't figured out how to enlarge it. I've scoured sites for the right product and this alone fit the bill, aside from concerns of its quality. As far as hardiness, I wouldn't carry this in my purse or a pocket for fear it would break, but it behaves well sitting on the table next to my TV chair till I need it. When I do, it's a little awkward because to see the small print real clearly I also need to keep my glasses on - but together they clear up the small print very well.
