Vornado HELIX2 Personal Tower Fan with 2 Speed Settings, Illuminated Touch Controls, 70-Degrees of Oscillation, Small Footprint, Black

While this is smaller fan, I expected more air flow from a Vornado. High quality, just not a powerful as expected.

Product arrived in a condition that may have implied previous ownership despite being purchased new. The box appeared to have been taped shut a second time, and the power cord had multiple markings near the prongs that look like bending or gripping damage. Upon turning the fan on, it proceeded to make an audible rattling sound on all three speed settings. Tapping/moving the device made the rattling stop temporarily, but it was back within a minute. I have requested a replacement fan to see if this was just a mistake on the warehouse's end, or if Vornado's quality control is lacking. I will update this review after the replacement has arrived and been tested, but I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the product in front of me at the moment.Update 3/23/19:The replacement fan has arrived and, while it still has a rattling noise, it's definitely more subdued than the previous one. I've found that it will go away temporarily by tilting or twisting the fan, which isn't that great of a solution but it'll do when it becomes unbearable to listen to. To its credit, it does move a fair bit of air even at the lowest setting. Fan noise itself isn't too much of a concern either, just the rattling sound. Yes it's loud at the highest setting, but that's to be expected given how much air it actually moves. The other two settings are definitely quiet enough to be used in an office environment without anyone complaining about noise.I'm still not really all that satisfied with this product at this point, but I'm not about to play the Amazon return lottery in the hopes of getting one that doesn't have a rattling sound. Might end up taking this one apart to try and pinpoint the source of the noise and apply a more permanent fix. I want to like this fan, but it's not making it easy on me when the second one has the same problem as the first. Perhaps the HELIX2 has had this issue fixed, but I'm not too inclined to spend more of my time and money to be disappointed again.In short, I give this product a 3 out of 5. It's compact, easy to use, and moves a lot of air even at the lowest setting. The build quality is lacking a bit, but it doesn't feel cheap either, which makes this whole situation even more aggravating. Would tentatively recommend it if you're not the type to be bothered by a possible rattling noise or if it'd get drowned out over ambient noise levels.

Great little desk fan! Breeze reaches up to 24"- A little bit of noise when the oscillate feature is used, but not to loud. I am pleased.

First two month was great. Worked well, noise level was low, air flow was enough to cool me down. After two month, fan rattles on Level 3 speed and bit louder noise on Level 2. Level 1 speed was same as always.

Previously, I have owned a number of Vornado fans, with zero issues. However, the last fan that I was given (a full standing fan for a room), and this one, which I purchased, have both had serious issues.The standing fan simply died after three weeks, not even of constant use.This small desk version started making clicking noises after 3 short uses. Brand new, out of box, put it on my desk, and it worked great. I would run the fan for 20 minutes to 1 hour. However, after the third time I turned it on, it started making clicking noises inside, as if either a part was broken, or two pieces were coming into contact with each other on every rotation.At first, this noise was minimal less loud than the sound of the fan itself, but after another few uses, including days where it wasn't used at all, (it's in my office, and we are currently in a hybrid work model, part time in office, part time WFH), today when I attempted to turn the device on, the clicking became louder, to the point where it was a complete and total distraction while attempting to work. The clicking is now louder than the noise of the fan spinning.This makes two Vornado products within the last six months for me that have exhibited issues shortly after first unboxing. I can no longer support Vornado's products. I have begun the return for refund process with Amazon.

The media could not be loaded.  What do I like?* Sits on my desk and oscilates blowing cool air without being annoying* Normal fan sound is low enough my laptop microphone doesn't amplify it on Zoom meetings when 2 feet awayWhat do I hate?The fan randomly starts making metallic fan clacking/clattering sounds (listen to video). It lasts from a few seconds to a full minute. When I got to smacking the fan to see if it would quiet down, I decided it was time to return it. It may be only this one unit but it turned me off and I'll find another option.

This fan looks nice enough and is compact, but at approximately the same price as Vornado's "Flippi" series, it's less than half the fan. Yes, it takes up much less room, but the "Flippi" model seems to pump out more air at its Low setting than this Helix fan puts out at its High setting. Yeah, I shoulda bought a second "Flippi." The Helix's touch controls are far more convenient and it's pretty quiet*—but I get a lot more bang for the buck from the other model. Oh well. Live and learn.* It's especially quiet at the Low setting—but why would anyone ever want it set that low? Seems to me you'd get a heavier draft when a mosquito flies by.

Je ne suis pas certaine que ce ventilateur fasse une différence. 2 vitesses, une beaucoup trop bruyante. Ça fonctionne mais mais j'ai l'impression que l'air chaud ne se déplace pas vraiment. Beau style au moins.

es ridiculo la cantidad de ruido que hace para la cantidad de viento que arroja , luego checare si se puede poner alguna goma o algo por el estilo , pero si se pasa de erga

Squeaks, rubs, very noisy, not much power, hardly blows any air. Wish I opened it sooner so I could return it.
