Nightwish: Showtime, Storytime [Blu-ray]

Superb show, great quality
This was the 2012 Wacken headlining band, great performance, and Floor wasn't even officially part of the band (she was after the show!!) I grew up on Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Heart, ZZ Top, Kiss, Dream Theater, Savatage/TSO, Black Sabbath and Ozzy (all of his solo stuff), just to name a few bands. This is my absolutely favorite live band of all time, and this Blue-ray is a MUST own. I also have the DVD of this same concert. Thoumas is the metal Mozart of out time, IMHO, Jukka's drumming is stellar, Emppu's guitar is searing, Marco is a bass master/monster/singer, Troy brings a nice added flute and Uilleann pipe into the mix, for a nice added dimension. Floor's singing is beyond ethereal, bringing goosebumps, tears and Floorgasm's. She is my all time favorite singer, can sing any style. Everyone should experience this concert at least once. I haven't seen them live yet, but will when I get the chance. The other live shows, Vehicle of Spirit, and then Decades Live in Buenos Aires are well worth owning, too. This Blue ray has great clarity, awesome sound. If I could give it six stars, I would.

Energizing Live Performance
I'd say this albun is an excellent introduction to Nightwish with Floor Jansen as lead singer. It is how I "discovered" the band. Having seen the performance, I am instantly transported there when I hear the songs on my iPod. One reviewer criticized the performance as headache inducing jumping from one camera angle to another. I disagree. Sure I would have liked the camera to linger longer on Jukka the drummer longer and Floor the lead vocalist but it didn't frustrate me.I'd previously watched the performance on youtube on my laptop but to see it on my 55" tv blew me away. The production is excellent and you really get a feel for the energy on the stage and in the audience. The documentary is only OK. It has some fun stuff. It's weird with Annette having no appearance but I understand why that had to be. I really wanted more on Floor getting the call and joining the band. So, like I lead off with, the Wacken 2013 performance was my introduction to Nightwish and is one I will watch repeapedly. Three times so far.

Great Concert
My wife and I enjoy concerts and we have quite a collection of concert DVDs. Showtime Storytime is one of my favorites. It plays without any issues whatsoever in my run-of-the-mill blue-ray player. Zero problems. The atmosphere at this concert was just one of those perfect moments in time where everything came together just right. This Nightwish lineup, this set list, this audience was just so perfect. All of it. Do yourself a favor and get this while you can, and while you’re at it, pick up the Decade of Delain DVD. That one won’t disappoint either. Both in the symphonic metal genre. I’ll also recommend the Earth Wind and Fire/Chicago, and Def Leppard “And There Will Be. Next Time”. All great shows.

Epic Nightwish
Purchased this blu-ray after discovering this amazing band on UTube. Order was received promptly and as described. The blu-ray played perfectly in my blu-ray player, no problems. The 2 disc package is a great introduction into this super talented band - gives some background history on them transitioning into their current female lead singer. Enjoyed watching the concert in its entirety - how can a band sound so good live? It is now my “go to” music.

Pure genius on every level.
This is one of the most epic concerts I have ever seen and this is when Floor officially became a full member of the band deservedly so. What a performance by everyone on and off stage. Great audience of 82 thousand strong. I will enjoy this over and over again.

It's Definitely Storytime...
If you're not yet a fan of the band, and especially if you've never seen them live, it's a great introduction to their energy and style. If you're already a fan, then get ready for a great set recorded during their first tour with Floor Jansen behind the mic. The video and sound quality are excellent; the only complaint I had is how the editing between cameras was so fast paced; in some places the camera view changes around once a second.I've been listening to the digital download of this concert for over a month now and am nowhere near tired of it.

I love this Blu-ray
I love this Blu-ray. The picture and sound quality is amazing. The set list covers all of their best songs, and when they get to "Last Ride of the Day" I got goosebumps! It's definitely my favorite concert recording now. Some people complain about the fast camera switches, but I don't really mind that much. The music is what is most important. Such a high energy show of melodic perfection. For any fans of Nightwish, this is, in my opinion, a must have. I just wish I had found out about this band earlier (my first album was Imaginerium).

Plays fine in my US Blueray player
Nice the camera changes are a bit quick as others have said but still a nice concert.

A legendary performance from Nightwish at Wacken 2013, plus extra material.
I've watched several of the songs from this show, more than a few times, online. The performance is very impressive and tight. The whole band just blows you away. Floor Jansen's singing is phenomenal. I decided to get the DVD so I could watch it whenever I wanted. I also bought it so I could show it to friends who don't have online access. The sound quality is excellent, and so is the video editing.
