Rise: Get Up and Live in God's Great Story

I Just got the book today and it's in brand new condition. The description had stated that the book could have some light shelf wear but i found none at all. Funny thing is I had cancelled the order after reading that the book had some light shelf wear but the book had already shipped. I had chosen the return option but to my surprise the book got delivered to my country and it was in perfect condition. Getting into the book this afternoon and i can tell its worth the money.

I have 2 sons, my 19 year old son who asked for this book and CD. He has been raised knowing the Lord and was on fire for Christ in Jr. High (Middle School) but when he entered hight school our church had broke up, his youth pastor had moved on and his father and I searched throughout high school to find a youth group he could fit into. None really worked out and I worried he may fall away from the faith without the support of other Christians. His older brother was very involved in a great church (they are 9 years apart, very close but still in different stages in life) and my younger son tried his older brothers church a few times but couldn't connect. He had asked me for this book and I ordered it along with the CD. This book was the PIVIT change in his life. He has told me this. He read the book and made the decision to FOLLOW his Savior, and rise to what He has been called to. He read the book, told his brother to never let him again miss church, and NO KIDDING, has been serving, following, Rising to Gods plan for his life since he read this book. I am totally recommending this book, I have not read it as of yet but plan to ASAP :)

This is timely message for all young people who want to be mentored and build there lives on the foundation of God's truth. The fact that Trip strongly testifies that there is no compromise or fear for those who have been redeemed by the King (Jesus) I am more than energized and really on the movement to be bold to share the good news. Trip reminds me of the parable of the sower, ground and seed that God is the ultimate sower, so I have to be like Jesus who was eager to sow among the Thorns, stones, pathway and good soil. As a sower i can not determine which one is the good ground but my work is to sow wherever the Father has sent be to the next person sitting next to me in a plane or they guy on the other team or my family. The language is also very down to earth and the illustrations are very engaging.

I purchased Rise: Get Up and Live in God's Great Story by Trip Lee for my 17 year-old who happens to be a fan. Usually it takes several reminders for him to read a book but with this one he read it in a couple of days. According to him, although the writing style is simple, the message from Trip Lee is encouraging and "feels real". I recommend it to any fan who wants to know him better or any parent who wants a son or daughter to be exposed to a positive, uplifting message.

Possibly my greatest takeaway, esp after years of struggling with porn is when he says : " If it turns you on, Turn it off "I also like the fact that it is a light read, being a theology and doctrine buff.. It takes a relatively short time to finish it, yet maintains a true biblical mindset and not laced with a lot of bible passages that can be easily assumed. Would definitely recommend it to a young christian or someone young in the faith.

I don't even know where to begin. I have been waiting for this book since the album came out. This young man is honestly an inspiration, as a young woman in Christ this brother helps raise the standards confirming that if we pray and by faith receive it, we can be blessed with a GODLY MAN who can lead us closer to Christ (if it be God's will).I am starting this reading journey and will like to encourage you all to pray and read it for yourselves. Encourage you and challenge you just as the book states: To Rise!

I bought this book for my 16 year old daughter. She loves the book and I think she will take these lessons on with her through life. I figured since children take their parents for granted sometimes, I thought maybe she would actually hear what I am saying through another person. (He say's much of the same thing I tell her, LOL). But whatever it takes to get the message across, great book. Shipping was super fast!

Good book. I read it quickly, but there were many places that Trip's humble and biblical approach to self-analysis caused me to stop and think about my own life and walk with Christ. If you need an accessible but contemplative push to think about and make changes in your life, offered through the lens of a man doing the same thing with his, then this is the book for you.

Great book; well worth a read; easy language, engaging and challenging content.

So good to read a honest and down to earth story of our failures/struggles and our gospel of hope found in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The anointing on Trip is undeniable, the wisdom he shared in this book is life changing! Amazing read!

Trip Lee is doing a good job encouraging young christians to live as christians even in their years of youth and young adults. He is dealing good with problematics in youth and life.
