Nice! Works as advertised!
Just attached this in my Atoto unit and it worked great. My HU must have been updated as I didn't have to install anything to get it to work. Just plugged in and tested, with two phones. Both connected to the HU, asked for permissions and then launched Android Auto. Music and Navigation work through the dongle, but need Bluetooth connectivity to the HU in order to provide calling support in AA also. Reconnects automatically when ever the phone is plugged into the dongle again.

Doesn't work for all Android Head Units
I have a no brand name Android Head Unit, that has USB ports. I thought this adapter would work, but it does not. I think it has to do with the head unit not providing enough power to the USB ports. I tried fixing this, by finding a powered USB hub, but while this idea could work, not only did it not, but that's just way too many things needed. Too late to send it back, but hopefully you can save your money if you don't have a head unit that explicitly supports Car Play or Android Auto.

low volume, no unit buttons will work
I love the ease of Android Auto. However, this aftermarket dongle will only work with the touchscreen buttons on Atoto head units. No remote steering wheel controller either except volume buttons. The other downside is that it only allows you half of your Bluetooth volume, no more, no less. Basically, downloading a Bluetooth volume increasing app and hooking up to regular Bluetooth will make the sound more acceptable and this unit is a waste of money for those seeking this sound volume/quality. Otherwise, easy to use for anyone not tech savvy.

Apple Carplay!!!
Adapter works perfectly just as it's supposed too. Apple Carplay on an android headunit without issues!

Can't Use It
There's no information, or no CORRECT information, on where to download the autokit apk and how to install it on the android radio. Documentation is step 1, elementary level stuff. I don't understand why it's so hard for companies like these to actually explain how to use their product.
