The team are constantly looking for ways to innovate, combining new technology with feedback from test sailors to create unique clothing solutions. CONCEPT Like snow and mountain sport clothing, sailing apparel has to perform in extreme conditions. Athletes in these sports have long recognized that garment weight seriously impedes stamina and makes it harder for the body to perform over time. Their clothing reflects this, being breathable and extremely warm; yet light and flexible enough for intense activity. Weight is a key factor for any type of sailing and Navis Marine fabrics were developed to meet the ‘high-performance, low-weight’ requirements of the elite sailors we work with.

Comfortable, Good Quality
So far seems like a great suit. Haven’t tested it in the rain yet but I’m inclined to believe it will hold well. I can speak to sizing however: I’m 6’2”, 40” waist, 44” chest, I think a 34”inseam and 26” across the shoulders. The XL fits perfect! Other than the face cover being a bit snug. Might be able to adjust that a little though idk. Plenty of room to layer as needed and move around it’s really quite comfortable. Breathes very well and not too hot even after a few sprints in the backyard. The pockets are nice and hood seems adequate, the only thing is the face shield being a little snug. If it truly stands up to long torrential down-pores I’ll be very very happy indeed. I’m not a sailor but in the winter I will work anywhere from 6-10hrs in the rain 5 days a week and I’m ready for something substantial that will get the job done. Everything else I’ve tried either makes you sweat sufficiently as to defeat the purpose or will soak through in about 4-6hrs. Regardless I’m impressed so far and I like the way this one looks/feels. Considering that some offshore jackets alone can run $700+ I’m pleased with the purchase.

Great value for the price
I just bought this set for the Round the County race which happens in November in Puget Sound. We had rain, wind and temps down to the low 40's and I was plenty warm and dry with only thermals underneath. It was a good first test and am confident this gear would work well offshore.Multiple pockets with weatherproof zippers are a plus. A medium fit me at 5'11" and 200 lbs. The overall design and construction seem thorough and well thought out.

Bought As A Gift
My husband is a longshoreman and has always wanted the Best rain gear. He spends countless hours in the pouring rain and he chose Navis as the rain gear he wanted for his birthday present. He loves it and says he has never been more comfortable in the rain as he is now!

Only issue was good too small and unable to secure adequately
The one thing that did not perform as needed was the small and inadequate hood. Could not get it to cover enough of my face from the sides leaving cheeks and neck exposed to cold, rain and hail. Could not get it tight enough using elastic tightening cord to stay on in stiff wind. Kept flying off again exposing my knit head gear to become wet.

Good but their Coastal Jacket is just as good (for less)
Great value and quality, but their Coastal jacket is just as good for much less.

Quality Product
I highly recommend this foul weather gear set. I am 5'4" tall and 135 lbs. I ordered the small and held my breath hoping that is would fit. The sizing chart provided was an excellent guide that is true to form. The gear itself is of very good quality and believe it will serve me well as I embark on my next misadventure. Cheers.

Great gear great value
Purchased the Navis Marine Offshore for an up coming sailing trip thru the Dalmatians of Croatia. At 6'1 190 lbs the large was a perfect fit. Stayed warm and dry thru the 2 week trip while contending with some unsettled weather conditions. Great gear and well worth the purchase price

excellent, gives musto a run for its money
The product is well made, lightweight but with the knowledge of adding base layers you can create a warm and waterproof outfit very easily. I like the colour scheme of the navy blue and fluorescent yellows. One thing that could be improved, to really make this a sensational product would be to add draw strings to the hood design, this would then pinch the sides in and avoid the wind being able to overwhelm the fitting on the head and coming off.Navis Marine are excellent at communication and answered all my questions and concerns. One thing that helped me when purchasing this was to read other comments to understand that size medium would be the fit for me. I am 6ft and 180lbs, fits great.
