NANUK 905 Waterproof Hard Case Empty - Black (905-0001)

Feels very sturdy and well made. I love the latch design on the side. Also, the orange colour is very easy on the eyes. I plan on using this to protect my camera gear, but also to put personal belongings whenever I'm on a boat to scuba dive or surf. I bought this as I needed something bigger than my Pelican 1120. I suck at reading dimensions, and I find that it's way more massive than the 1120 (it can actually fit it inside). Not that I'm complaining. I think the price I paid for it is worth it, given that it's 1.5x the cost here in my country. It was shipped for free to my place, literally on the other side of the world, in 13 days.

I bought one Nanuk 905 with the padded dividers when I got my Sonyfx30, and have since bought a second to for additional gear storage, or I can use it as a B-camera case for my a6700 if I’m doing two camera shoot. These cases are sturdy, their latch system is FAR superior to Pelican, and the padded divider system makes them customizable for whatever the needs of the day are (as opposed to cube foam). I’ve now replaced all my old Pelicans with 100% Nanuk case systems for camera, lenses, gimbal and rig.

One of the best rugged cases I've ever used! Great choice.

We decided to go with this case for a special project where we needed a hard protective case that we could install an inside face plate for an electronic controller. These cases are pre-designed with an inner lip that is designed for mounting a panel. The lip even has screw holes so installation of our control panel is very easy. We tried other well-known cases but we had to secure the faceplate with screws or rivets coming in from the side of the case, compromising its water resistance. These Nanuk cases are built extremely well (even better in our opinion than the "p" brand), the handle is more robust, and the double-action side latches give it the more futuristic look that we desired. Also you can open the latches and fold them all the way open and they "lock" out of the way until you release them. Nice feature if you want the latches to stay out of your way, which we did. Well-priced, well-built, well-designed and the color options are great. Note that this case does NOT come with the foam inserts, so if you're expecting those you will need to choose a different part number that has the foam.

Excellent easy latches, difficult foam. Both the Nanuk and its well-known competitors are strong, waterproof, very durable, with excellent foam protection. But the Nanuk has MUCH EASIER LATCHES with no sacrifice in quality or security. The Nanuk just clobbered the other guys in their design of the latches. So easy, never hurts my older, slightly arthritic hands. Excellent. The Nanuk foam is a mixed blessing. The foam is very, very tough. Very difficult to cut out to fit my equipment. Long slow process. I have tried sharp knives, serrated knives, scissors. After an hour I am still only half way done cutting just two simple circles. On the other hand, I suppose that this super tough foam stands up to heavy use, lasts a long time. A trade off. You have been advised.

Bought this for a canoeing swamp trek. It held up amazing. I was able to fit my DSLR and three lenses. Should have gotten one size bigger, but I made it work. It held up to canoeing, swamp water and being tossed around.

Very strong, built like a tank. What can I say about being water resistant, ok I got it yes it is I've put it to the test. I've had it out in the rain, mud and cement and my milwaukee lazer has remained safe, intact and hasn't got wet or destroyed.

first thing I did was cut a hole in the side of this case, waterproof means nothing to me. I wanted a hard case for my manifold (Testo) to keep it from getting beat up while in my work truck and while being hauled off a roof with a bunch of other equipment. the case is well built, the latches are awesome. with a hole cut in the side of the case I can still stand on it and it remains solid (I'm 270lbs). a bit of spray adhesive keeps the foam in place. I was so happy with the quality of this case that I ordered a few others that I will not be cutting holes in.

Very solid and good looking. The locks feels solid and are easy to operate. You only have to cut the small part who link the foam cubes and then tear the parts you want to remove. Expensive, but worth it to protect the equipment adequatly. It feels like this device can be trusted.

Hands down, Nanuk cases are the best in my opinion. Far better latch system than other brands, light weight, sturdy, and made in Canada. Like most of these cases, they're expensive but if you're protecting valuable equipment, it's worth the investment. I use these to protect camera equipment, and they've been tossed around on airplanes, in cars, fallen off ATVs, dropped on concrete, and just about anything you can imagine, and they're still going strong.
