Bought the 1st pair of these Thunderbolt Platinum Pro Knee Pads maybe 4-5 years ago (at a big box store) as a gift for my husband, to replace the worn out pair of “soft front” knee pads he was using while renovating our house. He absolutely loved them. He said that they had much better and thicker cushioning (gel + foam) and that the silicone front pads provided much more support and protection to his knees than the old soft knee pads he was using. The wide vecro straps stay secure, and are well above and below your knee so they don’t roll up or bunch up directly behind your knee. Now, he wears them all the time - anytime he puts his work boots on to work on a project around the house, he puts his Thunderbolt Knee pads on. In fact, he has worn the velcro straps out from wearing them so many times! We went back to the big box store to purchase a new/replacement pair. Unfortunately, the store no longer carried the Thunderbolt brand knee pads and only stocked “their own brand”. He tried on several similar knee pads while at the store and couldn’t find anything he liked as much or were as comfortable as the Thunderbolt Knee Pads. He asked me to “please find my Thunderbolt Knee pads online and buy them for me.” So here I am, writing this review. Can’t think of a better endorsement than my husband’s. Thunderbolt Platinum Pro Knee Pads are extremely comfortable, easy to wear, and are definitely durable. Well worth getting yourself a pair (your knees will thank me ;-)

These knee pads are a game-changer! They offer superb support and are incredibly comfortable, even with extended wear. The thigh support, secured with user-friendly velcro straps, is a standout feature – it provides a snug fit without any uncomfortable tightness. I've tried other brands that felt restrictive, but these are clearly designed with superior ergonomics. The padding is top-notch, ensuring excellent protection, and despite their durability, they remain surprisingly non-bulky. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable. Love the longer straps. Does not pinch or fall down. The rubber smell was the worst part. Took a couple of days to air out and I heavily used baking soda. Still has a slight rubber smell and I hope over time the smell will completely fade.

Very good set of knee pads, just as advertised. Comfortable , wide, elastic straps wouldn’t cut into your thighs or calves. Very comfortable gel knee cups and durable wear pads. Looks like they will last a long time.I would recommend them to colleagues and anyone in the trades.

So far it seems like a great quality item. Lightweight and very comfortable. Working really well for my yard work. Recommended knee pads.

These knee pads work as they should. They don’t slide down like one strap knee pads do, they stay where they are meant to stay. I have recommended these out to other people who have purchased as well. They are comfortable and make kneeling easier. My knees dislocate easily and when wearing these knee pads I can kneel with ease
