Standing Desk Conversion Made Easy (and Sturdy!
I had been wanting to try a standing desk for a while now, but the thought of replacing my entire desk setup at my work office was daunting.Enter the VariDesk Pro Plus 30, a fantastic solution that converts my existing desk into a standing desk in seconds. It's sturdy, easy to use, and has made a noticeable difference in my workday comfort. Here's what I love about it:Effortless Transition: Going from sitting to standing is a breeze. The spring-assisted lift mechanism is smooth and requires minimal effort. I can adjust the height in seconds, finding the perfect position for both sitting and standing.Sturdy and Stable: Even at its highest setting, the VariDesk feels incredibly stable. There's no wobbling or shaking, even when I'm typing vigorously. This is crucial for someone like me who values a solid, distraction-free workspace.Spacious Work Surface: The two-tier design provides ample space for my laptop, mouse, and even a notebook. I appreciate having a dedicated space for my keyboard and mouse, which helps maintain good ergonomics.Improved Posture and Focus: Since using the VariDesk, I've noticed a significant improvement in my posture and focus. Being able to switch between sitting and standing throughout the day keeps me energized and helps prevent that afternoon slump.Easy Assembly (or Lack Thereof!): It arrived fully assembled and ready to go. I simply took it out of the box, placed it on my desk, and started using it. No complicated instructions or tools required.A Minor Quibble:While I'm delighted with the VariDesk overall, I echo a common critique I've seen in other reviews: the keyboard tray can feel cramped, especially if you have a larger keyboard or prefer more mouse space. This hasn't been a dealbreaker for me, but it's something to consider if you prioritize a lot of keyboard and mouse real estate.Overall:If you're looking for an easy and effective way to incorporate standing into your workday, the VariDesk Pro Plus 30 is an excellent choice. It's a well-made, user-friendly solution that has transformed my workspace and improved my overall well-being. Just be mindful of the keyboard tray size if you need a lot of space for your keyboard and mouse.

solved the issue
Quality is worth price. Spinal Md's orders cannot sit at computer for more than 30 minutes.must stand and walk around. Veridesk solves the issue. well made, easy to use no assembly required. returned cheaper one for tipping over. This one works, I'm very pleased!

Fantastic standing desk solution, only weakness is mouse position and minor wobble.
This is a great product. It came with a small dent on the rear edge of the "top shelf" but I don't care because I don't see it and it doesn't impact anything. It's constructed with a combination of plastic and metal, but it feels heavy and solid. There is some wobble, but I think that's more an issue with monitor, which wobbled on my desk before I put it on top of this converter. And to avoid wobble, I think they'd have to make this heavier, which would make it worse to deal with. It's about 50 pounds and I was worried that my desk might not be able to handle a heavier unit (some are like 100 pounds).Arriving assembled is almost worth the price alone. I was set up in a few minutes. This is a game changer. If you need to use a mouse all the time but also want a full size keyboard to be perfectly centered, what you're going to want is to add some kind of "extender" for the mouse that clamps onto the side. Or you're going to want a bigger standing desk converter, like the 36 or more. But that adds a lot of width for no reason in my opinion, especially if you just have a single monitor.I don't use a mouse a lot. I'm a typist. So I just keep the mouse on the "top shelf" that the monitor sits on. Works fine.I'm excited to work on my documents while feeling like the Maestro of an orchestra LOL. And I'm sure my posture and back will thank me over time.

Standing has fixed issues for me like tight/sore hips but introduced a sore knee
I was using one of the hacked up Ikea LACK tables as a standing desk at work and through 3 months I found out I needed to really balance sitting and standing. Standing has fixed issues for me like tight/sore hips but introduced a sore knee. Enter...the Varidesk.I really was not sure about purchasing this as it was a lot more expensive than my Ikea hack job but what a huge step up. With this desk I comfortably fit my two 19" wide screen monitors and I have no issues with the keyboard and mouse area. I use a regular full size keyboard and while it does not sit directly in the middle of the keyboard tray area I do not need it to. The mouse area fits my regular size mouse pad fine and that's all i ever need.Raising and lowering the Varidesk is super easy. Pull in each easy to use handle on the sides and pull up or push down. Like a manual car seat it has certain points where it locks in so beware of that. At full extension there is definitely some wobble but I won't use mine that high. People who are over say 5'10" might not like it (I am 5'8" and this is is just right at about 3/4 extension) but that is hard for me to say. All I can say if I'm not sure I'd like using this at full extension all the time.Build quality is top notch and you cannot beat just opening a box and being able to use a product. This is the single plus and, again, it's more than enough space for my two 19" widescreen monitors. If you don't mind the bases sitting off the edge a little bit (that's how my Ikea desk was) you could probably fit two larger monitors if you're careful raising/lowering it or depening on their base design. Moving forward with this product I will probably split the day 50/50 between sitting and standing and feel that was well worth the money.
