Junior Practice Mat

I ordered this for my aerial silks & lyra. The density of the foam is perfect, it’s nice and soft on top. I feel confident that it will pad a fall well. I also ordered the equivalent mat from the Z Athletic brand, and decided to return that one because it was more firm. See my pictures. I ended up buying a second one of these so I have a 6x6 square mat underneath me which is plenty. The only downside to this is that when pushed together, there is no velcro on the sides. The two mats always have a small gap in the middle because of the zippers. I ordered a Velcro strap to attach them along the short side, and that keeps it in place but there’s still a small gap. I decided to lay my yoga mat over the gap and it seems to help. Overall, this is a great setup for the price. The mats are light and small enough to fit in the back of my Honda Accord when folded.

Pretty heavy duty for an active toddler! Just get it!

This mat is used outside but is stored under cover. It gets a fair amount of use under the bar and out in the yard. We’ve been very happy with the padding. Not too soft that they can’t use it but soft enough to cushion the falls. Definitely recommend.

This mat was purchased for my 7 year old daughter. She is an Allstar competitive cheerleader and was having a mental block in getting her back walkover. She had previously jammed her elbow pretty bad when her coach allowed her to attempt her backwalkover before she was really even ready to backbend unassisted. I chose this mat specifically because it is 4 inches thick and I wanted her to feel like if she fell while practicing she would have extra cushion. We have only had this mat for a month before she nailed her back walkover! The comfort of knowing she had the extra cushion if she fell was a huge success in helping her with that mental block! She likes to warm up, stretch and practice skills on her mat every day! There is no funny smells, its light weight and we take it outside, upstairs, anywhere she wants to practice with ease. I highly reccomend buying 2 as they velcro together to make longer! Oh..also this.mat does not slide, whether it's on carpet or hardwood..

Ordered this to go with the TumbleTrak bar set. It fits well under the bar. Note it narrower than the bar so we use a 2" 4' wide mat under the bar and place this one on top of that. The mat works well and is not too heavy or awkward to move about. It has no slip backing on the back and a velcro flap on the edge to attach it to other mats to make a longer one. My kids love that it is purple.

My three year with sensory processing issues has a terrible habit of throwing herself onto her knees. Her OT therapist recommended we have a climbing jungle gym to assist with her development so I built a gym in our living room that has hardwood floors. This fits perfectly under it and when she slams down on her knees it keeps her safe. It’s been holding up incredibly well and even pads my knees when I tested it and I’m about 210lbs.

I tried several mats for the kids, but this one was the best. I did not listen to my head saying 'you get what you pay for', opting instead to try several other mats, but the other mats were too hard, too soft, or poor quality. This mat was definitely the best. My only complaint is that I wish it was available in a larger variety of widths.

My 9yo daughter uses this to practice flips and uses it as her landing place. Very durable, my daughter is a solid girl about 77lbs and this provides great fall protection. It cleans off easily, folds in half so it's pretty compact. My 6yo son uses this to monkey around with and jump on. Great base for a sleeping bag for sleepovers too. Has been worth the money spent for sure, and much cheaper than many others online. We will be purchasing additional items for sure.

High quality mat. Unfortunately this was too narrow for the gymnastics bar that I purchased. Fits great for the Tumbl Trak kip bar but the pro kip bar is 1 foot wider (4 ft vs 3ft). For the pro kip bar you will require a wider mat for a proper fit. If buying for under a gymnastics bar read the dimensions carefully as the photos in the ad are misleading. Otherwise it is a very nice mat.
