Audio-Technica AT-XP5/H Headhell/Cartridge Combo Kit

I have been considering purchasing this cartridge for my DJ turntables but decided to try one on an older Garrard record changer I refurbished. The higher 3 gram tracking ability was a good match for the changer. This cartridge looks great on the changer with it's red stylus, tracks perfectly and sounds amazing. I play older 45s on this changer and the AT-XP5 brought out the music crisp and clean while reducing the background noise. I intend to buy two more of these for my DJ turntables.

Makes most of my old records sound new. Highly recommend. Take good care of cartridge and keep the needle and your records clean. Level the cartridge and get the correct arm pressure and you’ll have awesome music to enjoy!

I have several Carts in my arsenal which I have changed periodically over time. I have been running this cart since December of 2018 and have never felt the desire to switch it out. Big smooth quiet sound. Built like a brick house -this cart adds another dimension to your turntable. However I can only attest to the quality it brings to my ATLP1240. I would venture to say that this would work well on any quality TT. Very happy with this cart..

Sonically there are much better cartridges and styli if price is no object, but for a $100 the AT sounds pretty darn good. In my case I was replacing a 35yr old Ortophon that did it's job well for a long time. Seeing that I still have all my LPS and 45s I bought in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, this cartridge fits the bill for the occasions when I want to play them. Very pleased with the sound quality on higher end components that I have. My main focus in collecting is 78 rpm discs(I'd rather spend $$ on that).

Love the sound from this cartridge. It is a higher output the AT-VMN95EBK cartridge it replaces. Also, love the convenience of an included headshell. Highly recommended.

I decided to get or at least try out a new cartridge, and I'm very happily surprised with this one. It's only slightly more expensive than a similar model, same company, but sounds much better to me. It's advertised as or engineered as for DJ use, but after hearing it seems to me that they put a higher quality stylus and higher quality audio abilities in there even though its a very low price for a high quality cartridge ( with needle)
