Molinillo Wooden Chocolate Stirrer

We enjoyed some Mexican hot cocoa on a recent trip. I decided to locate all the the tools and ingredients to make it in an authentic way. This wooden whisk makes the breakdown of the cocoa tablet effective and a bit fun and the cocoa a bit frothy. The whisk is high quality with a number of spinning rings that add to the development of the froth. Don't hide this in a drawer.

I really love this whisk for getting a nice froth on our Abuelita hot chocolate. A good whisk is crucial for making this style hot chocolate because you have to constantly stir the milk until the drink is ready, and the better you whisk it, the better the froth on top gets. The whisk I had used previously was metal and was not ideal to use because of the noise it made against the pan. It is, and it could not pretty large, so I recommend using a pitcher to give it a good whisk prior to serving, rather than a regular pot that can over flow.

It’s does it job for what I need to do to make my Mexican hot chocolate or melts my cacao tablets to make hot chocolate.

This is wel crafted but is way too big for a mug of cocoa. If you are making a whole pot, then it will work. I thought I was buying a much smaller one like the one I owned in New Mexico years ago. That was great for a mug of cocoa.

I never knew this existed. My wife, who is Mexican says this is a staple when she lived at home. The whisk was used for hot chocolate and so I bought it and it makes hot chocolate that much better. It's able to break down the cocoa to perfection

Ordered this to make champurrado and worked effectively!!! Took out all the lumps that were still in the champurrado mix made my cooking much easier!!! Rinsed off with warm water and soap and air dried and good as new!!!

So, I bought this to make Mexican hot chocolate for my wife, I am a chef in new York, and was introduced to this by a really good friend of mine who happens to be the top Mexican chef in NYC at the moment. So I was excited to get this. When it finally arrived I was very disappointed, it came broken, and it isnt well made at all. And it also doesn't look anything like the picture at all. In the stock photo it looks well made, and that's not the case for the end product that is received.I still ended up using it, but I will not order anotherThe sad thing was I was going to order more for my restaurant but not a chance.So I am left very dissatisfied with this

Bought this as a gift for my husband who is into hot chocolate. He loves it as noted by its almost daily usage. It's nice aesthetically, too. Makes a great gift!
