This Scout Scope Mount works as an "universal fit" for Mosin Nagant variants Russian/Soviet M9130, M9159, M38, M39 and m 44; Chinese M53 or T53; Polish m 44; etc EXCEPT THE FINNISH MOSIN NAGANT Some M9130's either do not have the typical two pins holding the rear sight block to the barrel or those pins are soldered in place. In addition, these same pin holes may not both be the same distance from bore centerline resulting in an unacceptable degree of "pitch" when the mount is installed. Lastly, the rear sight block of the M9130 may not run parallel with the bore axis creating excessive mount "yaw". FOR RUSSIAN MODELS ONLY
Brass Stacker offers two different versions of this scope mount: One for Russian Mosins, and one for Finnish Mosins. For whatever reason, they only listed the version compatible with Russian rifles on Amazon. If you want this mount for a Finnish Mosin, you will have to go to their website and order the Finnish model because this one will only fit Russian Mosins. I mistakenly bought this thinking it would fit my Finnish M39, but found that it wasn't compatible with the special Finnish rear sight on my Mosin since Russian and Finnish Mosins have different sights. Luckily, I was able to get a full refund on the mount and proceeded to order the proper Finnish model from Brass Stacker's official website. This new one fits perfectly and seems to hold incredibly sturdy. When I get the chance to put some rounds through my rifle, I'll update my review based on how well it holds a zero.

Fast arrival good lookin product
Haven’t installed it yet but arrived really fast and looks like a great product! I bought this because I used another less expensive kit to install a scope on my M91/30 Mosin Nagant and fount that the scope was crooked. The piece of the gun on the receiver that the iron sight mounts to is crooked therefore mounting a scope to that is no good. Hopefully this works out better. If it doesn’t it’s the Russians’ fault not the scope mount.

Short range maybe. Not good for long range
This scope mount would be great for a red dot or scout type scope probably, but is not good for long range scope mounts. I tried multiple different scopes and every time had to max out moving down to adjust for high shooting. And still shot high. I was using low scope rings. I also tried multiple different scope rings, but the medium and high scope rings make it to where you cant properly see through the scope. In summary, good for red dot etc short range shooting maybe, but not a good mount for precision long range.

First I have to question why I've spent $1000 upgrading a $120 rifle. That being said, this bracket is a necessity if you want to put a quality scope on a Mosin. We have an Archangel tactical stock that required that we drill a hole for this bracket. 30 minutes and done. We were using the bracket that only attaches to the rear sight and extends back far enough for a long eye relief scope. That bent the first time we shot with it. This bracket is very sturdy.

great scope mount, two anchor points
Perfect, well fitted scope mount for a mosin nagant, after testing I am extremely happy with the results. And will be purchasing another for my finnish mosin as well. Make sure you get a long eye relief scope, but it will allow you to use a long straight bolt versus using the poorly made bolt on bent bolts or sending out for a bent bolt. (Though if long eye relief is something you cannot live with...) very strong, very durable and holds zero

Amazing if you want quality you've found it
Absolutely amazing perfect for a custom mosin I've been working on this is by far the biggest factor in shooting MOA with a mosin. I could not recommend more.
