Works great and looks great as well.
I wanted a simple lock that would secure my helmet when I was away from my motorcycle. This lock is like one I had used before and it installed quickly on the handlebar. The chrome plating is really nice and it matches the other chrome on my Harley. Works good and looks good, does not get any better!

Great item for a great price.
I don't know what the negative ratings are talking about, these are well built heavy duty at a great price. I bought a more expensive set from a name brand and they are exactly the same, only difference was logo was on the key. The locking mechanism, everything else exactly the same just paid $30 more for them.

Easy to install and the chrome definitely appears high quality. As a few other have complained, the lack of an auto locking feature is a small bit aggravating. Having to manually hold the clasp shut as you turn the key to lock it is an extra step I could do without, but its pretty minor. Seems very durable and secure. I bought two and attached both of them to either bar of my sissy bar, and they work great.

Protection for Your Brain Protector
I've ridden motorcycles since I was old enough to sit on one and keep at least one foot on the ground. During all that time I never gave a thought to someone walking off with my helmet. I was more worried about someone stealing the bike!Who would want another person's helmet? It's sweaty, it's got hair in it, it smells like them - it's like stealing another guy's jock strap! Yuck! Well, it turns out that in these economic times, if it's not nailed down, someone will walk off with it. After someone swiped my EXO 1000, I started giving some thought to making my most important piece of motorcycle safety gear harder to steal. This lock is excellent protection at an excellent price. The chrome is perfect and once installed, it looks like factory-installed original equipment. Where you put it is going to depend on your bike and whatever accessories you happen to have. A passenger back rest (or "sissy bar") would be ideal, but my Harley doesn't have one (yet!) So I settled for a handlebar install. It worked out well and I actually like where the helmet sits (in the middle of the handle bars) better there than hanging off the side of the bike. (Check out my pictures of installed lock.)One word of caution - if you have several options for placement, be sure to test each one before making a final decision. The screws are "one-way" and once they're screwed all the way down, you'll need a grinder to get the lock off again. I chose to put the securing screws one or two twists in place, just enough to hold onto the bottom housing, and then I could "test-drive" the placement by resting the lock on my handlebars and then putting the helmet on the bike, to be sure that I could lock the helmet in place and successfully unlock it again. My Suzuki has a couple of helmet locks on the sissy bar and while locking the helmets in place are easy, unlocking them requires you to stick your key ring inside the helmet and feel around for the lock totally in the dark. It takes me longer than it should and actually discourages me from using the lock. So when I put this one on, I tested it before screwing everything down.A great lock, a good price and a product I recommend.

Great helmet lock for a classic bike!
I needed to fit a helmet lock to my new Royal Enfield 500 Classic, and struggled to find something suitable here in New Zealand. I purchased this Bikers Choice lock and attached it to the chrome crash bar, where it serves its purpose excellently and looks excellent -- a perfect match for all the retro chrome on the RE Classic. A solid, functional and good-looking accessory which I can highly recommend.

Prevented my helmet from being stolen
Definitely works. Not super convenient because you have to make sure it locks down in place which is not as easy as it should be. Also, it scratched up my tank cover badly. But, it secured my $500 helmet to my bike when someone stole the spare helmet off the back so well worth the money.

Would highly advise to look elsewhere
This product is extremely cheaply made, as you can see in the photo's a couple of issues I will point out.1)There is no rubber or any type of grommet to place between you handle bars and/or the mount meaning your handle bars can be scratched very easily if any slippage occurs.2) as you can see in the Pictures the locking mechanism (Key) only turns maybe a 16th of an inch between lock and unlock, This is not a massive ordeal as this lock is more of a deterrent than a preventative3) As you can also see in the one shipped to me the pin is apparently missing and never was installed in the lock ring to keep it secured to the lock when it arrives it looks all fine but upon unlocking the lock ring just fell out of the lock assemblythis could have been so much better with just a few modifications but the way it was sent to me its entirely un-usable In the manufacturers defense, I have not tried to contact them to replace as it is more time consuming to me to try and return than it would be to just chalk up the loss. However the good thing is my biker group is over 300 strong in my area and will be able to spread the word about this purchase.

Looks like it belongs on bars
With the lock mounted on the bars near the mirror I can set the helmet on the mirror and lock it down. If it rains the inside of the helmet stays dry. Fits nicely on 1-1/4” bars when screws are tightened down.
