I didn't know if this will be working on my laptop but when I replaced it and starting using it worked just fine flawlessly,

Tried but not working for my W540
I need to replace the TouchPad of my W540 with unresponsice click. People recommends replace the original with this type of TouchPad. It is working as a general TouchPad. All the effort to trying different driver didn't bring the gesture func. I requested return process and ordered anther one from "nbparts Three Buttons Touchpad Clickpad Trackpad for Lenovo Thinkpad T440 T440S T440P T450 T450S T450P T540P W540 W541 W550S T550" and received and installed just now. It is working right away after installation. Recognized as proper device without any issue. So this confirmed that this item has problem!

Used to get rid of the clunkpad in the T440p, this is a game changer :)
