Stunning reference picture quality.
The guys & gals at Richer Sounds always deliver, my purchase turned up promptly with no issues whatsoever. Regarding the item I bought this is the reference 4K bluray player with many other features to boot on the market today, yes it's expensive but worth every penny. This is a premium product in every sense of the word, & my god it has some heft to it. The picture quality is stunning to a level no streaming platform can get anywhere near whether its 4K, UHD, HDR or Dolby Vision due to internet bandwidth limitations. Physical media is always the way to go in my opinion if you want the best picture quality possible & this thing is right on point. Stunning.

Expensive but worth it
Great player and very well built. Picture quality is hard to discern from it’s cheaper brother, the UB820, but sound quality is a definite step up, particularly through its analogue output. The remote control is also superior to the lower priced model, though it’s compatible with the 820 and reasonably priced, so is a worthwhile upgrade if you wanted to pick it up. For most people, the UB820 is going to be a better proposition, but for those that don’t mind paying extra for better build and slightly better performance, plus a few features you will likely not use, then this player won’t disappoint.

UTTER RUBBISH
Bought this player through a different company with an extra 5 year warranty on top of the 5 year warranty from Panasonic. First player I received had playback issues right from the start. Wouldn’t even read half of the films I tried all UHD 4K discs. Some films played but then started pixelating after only 45-60 minutes of play. I returned the player and received a replacement which turned out to be even worse. Even playing brand new films that I had just bought and as the attached image shows, it pixilates within 45mins of playback. Apparently ALL 4K UHD players experience similar problems if you google search this issue. All manufacturers are aware of this and the technology isn’t fit for purpose. I had originally bought 2 top-end Sony players back in 2019 and both just stopped working altogether within 3 years of occasional use. I would avoid wasting your money on any 4K UHD player and just go with the streaming services which will work seamlessly.

Wonderful and amazing piece of technology
A wonderful high end Blu ray Player to go with my High end system and setup. Build quality is 1st class, you'll realize this the moment you touch it and notice the Weight. Picture is out of this world and sound is as impressive given you have a high end A/V receiver and Speakers like mine. My system is 7.1.4 and it's wonderful experience. Excellent Seller, 100% positive ratings and I wouldn't want to change this. However the shipping took longer than expected "almost 10 days" I highly recommend this Blu ray if you can afford it.

A great player.
Having used a Oppo BDP-103D since its release I decided it's time to get a 4k player. The Panasonic has so many settings to adjust just about everything coming off a disc. It's well built machine and heavy too. Using a 65" HDR10+ TV I can't really see a big improvement over blurays from the Oppo, but have only calibrated TV using the Spears and Munsil 1080p bluray. Will get the 4K calibration disc to get the HDR settings perfect and update review. The audio side of this player is amazing. Movies sound great and CD's sound much clearer then Oppo. The Panasonic played a DVD my Oppo has always frozen then stopped at a certain chapter.

Fantastic Picture HOWEVER in-built obsolescence is an odd choice
I concurr with all the positive reviews here however three things do spoil a rather excellent player: 1. The disc tray is coated in that "luxury" rubberised finished. Why? This will degrade within a decade (if not sooner) and become sticky and coat your discs with black gunk. Odd choice here. 2. The Online app store is based on the 10 year old (at least) Diga store which is terrible - the iPlayer is old - why can't manufacturers just point to a standard web portal. You can guarantee the apps here will be unsupported quicker than a flash 3. The remote manages to look cheap but feel luxurious - probably because it's weigty however for years you could configure the TV bit to work any brand of TV. Now that is gone - only controls Panasonic TVs which again is an odd degrade here - probably a choice made by an accountant. For me that disc tray being coated in that familiar degrading plastic is a huge disapointment and given it's widely known that these finishes degrade, it's such a shame that such a choice was made - I can only hope that third party manufacturers make a replacemnet drive unit that does not have this finish on the tray. So here you find the points that many don't raise - I do rate the picture it's excellent - and if you can put up with the above then go ahead and enjoy. Regards Darren
