Keto Breathallyzer
I can't absolutely attest to the accuracy by any objective measure but it seems to be accurate. Here is what I have found: 1) When I give it to a glucogenic person the reading is 0 every time (3 different people); 2) As I remove more carbs and replace with fat and MCTs the keto reading goes up; 3) Subsequent keto readings 10 min apart are very close and trend upwards or downwards slowly through the day depending on what I have eaten; 4) I can bring the keto number down slowly after about 40 min or so by eating some carbs; -- logically the device seems to show that is accurate or at least by relative measures (comparing one reading to a previous). I can run over 9.00 after a day or two of nearly no carbs and the chart shows ketoacidosis starts at 10.00. Not sure how accurate the chart is if you are keto adapted. For instance a reading of 7.00 shows that you should seek medical attention. However, that is in the therapeutic range to keep cancer from growing. I think maybe the chart is set for a person that may be a Type 1 diabetic? Not sure. Worth the money and a nice solid device.Oh... you might have a natural tendency to take a breath before blowing into it. Don't do that -- it washes the acetone out of your lungs and gives you a lower reading than actual. Instead, put a finger slightly over the exit hole (opposite the breath tube) and apply just enough resistance to allow your breath to expel for a full 10 sec (system counts down). If you expel all your breath before the 10 sec mark don't take another breath and blow bur rather try to squeeze out any remaining breath -- the device seems to work fine even with you run out of breath a little early.I believe the device is a gas sensor for fuel gases and of course acetone is a fuel (burnable). I believe also that the sensor counts down 20 seconds before use to heat the sensor element up so that it works properly. So don't reuse again and again without 10 or 15 min between uses or you may get 0.00 as the reading.Nice device... .buy it and use it to make sure you are staying in the ketogenic range. You can use it to make decisions about what you will eat and then see the impact of what you have just eaten (or drank). Good luck!

Ketone Meter Accuracy Is Terrible
I purchased the GDbow Ketone Meter in May. It arrived May 7th, and started using it immediately. It told me that I was already in Ketosis, which I knew since I had been fasting. After about 3 weeks, its results started stabilizing around 2.70 to 3.00. I keep using the machine.Fast forward to early August. I just got a couple family members who I know to not be on ketosis diets to try out the GDbow Ketone Meter. The two of them blow a 2.70 and a 2.75. It really looks like I've been had by a terrible company, and I'm at fault for not independently testing it within the 30-day return window. Lesson learned! Don't let this happen to you!

Defective Unit?
I'm giving this product a generous 2 star score because it does give a reading and is fairly easy to use, if you can exhale for 10 seconds. The accuracy is definitely questionable at best! I originally purchased this over a blood ketone meter because of the ease of use. When I first got this, I'd get readings between the 2.00 - 3.00 range. I thought that was great and assumed it was accurate, as I was losing weight at a good pace. I took it to work and let a couple of co-workers try it out. One, who is definitely not doing a keto diet, also, had a reading over 2.0. I was expecting her to have a zero or a near zero reading. The other, who is trying a keto diet, had a reading of 9.85! I told her that she should be in the hospital if that's anywhere near accurate. Shortly after that, my readings would steadily become higher and higher, eventually getting to between 7.00 - 9.00 and above. I changed the batteries and the mouth piece but that didn't help the results. Those numbers scared me and made me get a blood ketone meter, even though I didn't care to "prick" myself or buy costly test strips, just to make sure I didn't have ketoacidosis. My first reading with the blood ketone meter was 1.3. The breath meter was 7.45. After many tests with the blood ketone meter, my readings have been consistently between 1.0 - 1.5 or just a few tenths higher or lower, depending on the time of day and if I just ate or not. I'm tempted to exchange my breath meter for another one to see if the results are similar to my blood ketone meter but I'm probably going to go for a refund instead.

This Is Not Rocket Science
I have an advantage over a lot of people who begin to use this device. I am a SCUBA diver and know how to regulate my breathing. What I have noticed is taking a breath before blowing will give you a lower reading than just being relaxed and breathing normally. You don’t have to blow hard just steady until it beeps to get results. I have experimented by being relaxed and blowing several time in a row and find the difference is well with an acceptable range (.5%+/-).

Inaccurate and cheap plastic
I was excited to try this product as opposed to blood testing for ketone levels and using disposable strips. However upon arrival I tried the product and initially received a result of 0.9. This was high for me so I tried again a few minutes later. My result was 0.3. Another minute later? 0.0Sadly this prodcut is defective and inaccurate.

It is easy to use...accurate
I believe it works well...but poor quality materials for the price...

It really works
While the absolute numbers may not be as precise as a blood-test, it does properly track delta of ketones in your blood. Highly recommended. (Don't take a deep breath when using, take a regular breath and it works great that way).

Questionable accuracy
I have been using this for a few weeks as I've embraced a keto lifestyle. I consistently get readings of 2.6 (+/- .1). I thought I had been doing great. Then I let my wife give it a try. She eats a lot of carbs and sugar. One day she blew a 0.9 and the next a 1.65. This makes me question how accurate this thing is at all. Very disappointing.

Doesn't work, Don't trust Amazon to give you a full refund on a faulty product.
This product reads zero all the time, even though i have a blood Ketone meter and another expensive breath analyser that both show I am heavily in ketosis. What makes it worse is that although it doesn't work Amazon is only refunding 75% of what I paid for it. Don't trust Amazon or their products.
