This filter was easy to install and we notice a difference from the hard water issues. My skin wasn't itchy and my hair felt cleaner and soft.

So far I like this product. It was easy to install. It does filter the water and I can feel it on my skin. My skin is not as dry as it used to be after showering. Also, I notice less hard water build up in my shower. So far good product, I recommended to my daughter.Although I do wish it would swivel more. I feel like my shower head doesn't swivel the same. But, thats beside the point the product does what its supposed to. Happy 😊

Update 4 years later (9/12/2023). Love the filter AND I periodically take out the charcoal and rinse it in water and hydrogen peroxide. Have not had to use the 2nd filter yet.Plastic hasn't cracked. Overall a good investment for the dollars.Ok, let's clear up some common issues.- This is NOT stainless steel, it is plastic spray painted to look like metal. Is this bad? No. They don't advertise that this is a steel showerhead. Will it last forever without cracking. Probably not.- It is painfully easy to install for a middle-aged woman. Don't forget to use the tape included for the threading or you will have water squirting all over the place.- You get a total of 2 filters - one for the showerhead and an extra one. They are clear about the fact that you get 2 filters.- For $21 this is one of the better deals. Would I pay $35 for this? Absolutely not.- It does remove the smell of chlorine. I have not yet been able to test the water with a TDS device but I will in the next few days. However, I did taste it against my very simple PUR water filter. Identical tastes so my only issue is that this 15 stage filter is no better than the 3 stage filter. I am dying to open up one of these filters and see what's in it. I have done that with other filters and it is always very interesting.PROS- Shower filters are good in general. We absorb a lot through our skin and I would prefer not to absorb toxic chemicals.- Frizz factor - I have super curly, frizzy hair and softer water reduces the frizz a lot.- Does not reduce shower flow for me but I have a low flow showerhead- Got a nice follow-up email from the company- Price is appropriateCONS- Does not TASTE much better than a cheap 3 stage PUR filter. Granted this is not a water filter for drinking but 15 stages of filtration should get me some benefits over 3 stages (sand, carbon and cotton).- No other cons at this time

It took 2-3 times before I really noticed the difference as far as my skin and hair. My hair is silkier, my skin is SO much more soft! Even the balls of my feet - which have been chronically dry for 20 years - are now as soft as you can imagine! I haven’t done anything different except change the filter. My hair, which was falling out prior to changing the filter, has started to not fall as much, so I have hope that it will completely stop shedding soon.Just knowing that this filter works so well and stops the lead, Mercury and many other contaminants feels good in itself.Installation was a breeze - I put the filter on my shower and even purchased one for my Mom, and put it on hers. It took 3 minutes or less, so easy indeed!The system comes with an extra filter which is excellent.I’m beyond pleased and will definitely continue to use it! It beats my previous shower filter by miles.*I purchased this with my own money, this opinion is my own!

This is probably the best deal for this product (that I was able to find). Each filter lasts for approximately 6 months and you get two filters to start, which is an amazing deal! So once you buy this product you will only need to purchase a replacement filter after over a year of use! It is also very effective in removing all the gross stuff that we don't want in our water. I'd know because where I live, the water is extremely hard, and gives off a very noticeable chlorine scent. Immediately after installing and flushing out the new filter, I noticed that the chlorine smell was gone and the water was way softer on my skin during my first shower. My hair is softer and my skin is no longer dried out. I love this product!!! If you are unhappy with your town's water, then definitely consider this product. And buy it from this seller because it is the best deal you will find. A++++++++++

The unit was effective, and has worked well for a few years, but now I can't replace the filter because the main unit will not unscrew & open.Looks like I'll need to buy an entire new main part simply because it's permanently stuck shut. Not expensive, but bummed out I have to needlessly replace the entire thing.

Installed easily. Does not change the water pressure while using a low-flow shower head. Followed instructions on running the shower for 5-10 min before using. Working great! San Francisco water has deteriorated since 2017 when they started mixing groundwater with the Hetch Hetchy water. Whatever is now in the water (their story is the groundwater is treated but NOT filtered) made for an awful shower - dried out hair and stinging eyes etc. just awful. This shower head made a huge improvement - no more stinging eyes! Feels much nicer too. Even my husband is impressed with how nice the shower water is now that we are using this shower head. Almost like we have 100% Hetch Hetchy water again!

So far I’m having a great experience! Easy to install . I want to see the benefits on my skin and hair as I saw the reviews. But I have it for just 2 weeks now
