Fantastic ink pens!!!
I seen another artist use these pens and was impressed by how it glided with ease and the India ink was rich in color along with the different types of strokes you could do with it from super fine to bold. I have never used these types of pens before, usually just tech pens and brush tipped markers for my drawings which are just black and white. Once I got the pen it took me a minute to figure it out- the instructions are in Japanese so I had to figure it out from the diagram on the packaging. The brush tip is almost like a synthetic fiber, but it keeps it form. I would suggest to others who have never used this type of brush pen to practice with it to get a feel for it. You can go from super fine to a thicker line in seconds if you put to much pressure in your pen strokes. Over all these are fantastic pens and are now a regular in my drawings.

Creating shadows
I like to use this grey brush to create shadows. It’s a good pen but it takes patient to use it correct. When I draw line art, I can layor my shadows. If I want it light, it will be one pass. If it want it darker, I’ll just keep layering the same area

My favorite drawing tool
These things are amazing. So nice to draw with. Dark ink. Refills are available for these as well. Lines can go extremely thin to very thick with a little control. That’s the advantage of brush pens. The other advantages are the self contained nature of the pen. No ink well. No dipping. Be careful not to squeeze too hard on these pens. It is easy to overload the brush if you don’t look carefully at the bezel. As soon as ink flows into it, stop squeezing. Note: the pens open clockwise. You need to open them to remove the colored shipping ring that keeps the ink from leaking out. Then turn the ink barrel counterclockwise to close the pen and puncture the seal allowing the ink to flow. These are more for people serious about creating art and willing to take time and exercise control. New artists or young children will probably find this tool very frustrating to use.

Best brush for Waterbased renderings
The brush is very easy to use for rendering with water-based paints or ink. I'll be using this brush to help me learn how to combine ink and watercolor paints. Although the package in which the brush was packed contains a lot of Asian characters (instructions, no doubt), the simple drawing shows how to remove the top cover. The brush is very soft and holds the liquid in without dripping. I'll probably buy several more in the future. But for the money, you can't beat it.
