It's important to list the model blender you have to be most helpful. I have the BL682 auto IQ model which is very sensitive to cup installation, if it is not satisfactory, it will not work, plain and simple. My original blades developed a bearing problem after about 8 months of regular use. The pictures used in this listing are of an original equipment blade assembly, which has the appropriate markings underneath that match my original blades. The blades I received are not original equipment. The bottom of the assembly has no writing on it and there are cosmetic and design differences. The only way I was able to get them to work, was to manipulate the cup on the base in order to trigger safe mode on the base so that I could use it. I had to snap the cup on the base and then turn it counter clockwise until the buttons turned blue and then I had to hold the cup in position to complete the blend process. This blade assembly also barely screwed onto the cup, because the threads start at a lower point in the groove leaving a smaller area of contact. It is also not quite as sturdy as the original, the safety cup included with it falls right off. When I put it on my original blades it fit snug and would lift them off the table requiring the cover to be pulled off. The listing should state that these are not original equipment and the pictures should be of the actual item that will be received. If I was not successful at getting it to work at all, I would have given it 1 star. I'm returning it and buying an original from the company. 4/19/19 My new blades arrived from sharkninja and they are identical to the original blades and work like the part that arrived with the blender when they were new. According to the company, the cup blades should not be used with the puree setting although it lights up, apparently because the higher speed contributes to bearing failure in the blades I assume. Note the differences between the original blade and the ones that arrived from NLSD here on Amazon, in my pictures. They may work better with some models, but unlike the original equipment they may not work with all of the models that use this style blade. Since my blender was just outside of warranty, I was given a 50% discount which put a new set of original blades in my hands for ~$19.
