These are like the cast iron rod I used back in 1962 to gas weld exhaust manifolds and a starter housing for a Chevy 327 engine I installed into a Dodge Lancer.

Actual Cast Iron filler rod. Very hard to find. Also works with TIG but I would have preferred a smaller Dia rod.

awsome welding rod
the rod preformed exactly as described, and my boss thought I was genius. simply pre-heat the part to be repaired and the rod, then dip the rod in the powdered flux, then continue to oxy-weld just like steel.
