Greatly Surprised
I've got this kit on my 954RR on the recommendation of my motorcycle mechanic friend. Its a GREAT kit. I ordered -1 front, +2 rear and my blade is a MONSTER. At first I wasn't thrilled that when in 6th I felt like I was in 5th and needed to upshift. (RPMs were raised maybe 1500-2000 at highway speeds-despite this MPG was the EXACT same) After about 2 days I got use to it and never looked back. I lowered my top speed from 175+/-5 mph to 155-160mph. Who cares! Does one ever really NEED to go that fast? HECK no. So now when I'm feeling spirited, I can get 0-100 ridiculously fast. The front wheel wants to come up ALL the time in first gear. Second gear I can power on a wheelie at 55 or so. The sprockets will outlast the bike honestly. The chain has about 4,000 miles on it and it shows no sign of stretching other than the initial tightening after being broken in. I'm pleased. It should easily last 15,000 miles or so. As far as installation goes:Get TWO or THREE master links...I was stubborn and only got one that came with it thinking that I would be great at it first try. NOPE. Its one of those things that you have to goon up and break in order to know how to do it. Light pressure is best. You won't be disappointed with this product.
