The Big Bottom Biscuit: Specialty Biscuits and Spreads from Sonoma's Big Bottom Market

I am addicted to the biscuits at Big Bottom Market and I'm thrilled to now have all of these unique recipes to make at home. The Sea Biscuit is a perennial favorite, and I can't wait to make the Claw & Slaw! I love that Michael included so many variations of not only biscuit recipes but also recipes for spreads and other great go-withs like the Market Pulled Pork (doesn't even require that you serve it with biscuits!). I never buy cookbooks without a ton of photos because I really want to see what the end-product will look like. This book is filled with gorgeously styled photographs of the majority of the recipes featured in the book. You will not be disappointed by this book! I absolutely love it and had to wrestle it out of the hands of my co-workers who were so mesmerized by it when it arrived!

Being a long time Guernvillian, I am so happy to have Big Botton Market in town. I’ve spent many an hour there and now have the joy of trying the recipes in Michaels cookbook. So well written, fun and creative. Can’t wait to try the many variations on the basic biscuit recipe. 🙏

This cookbook is amazing! Such a great gift for friends or family. The stories are filled with inspiration and the photos make you want to create the dishes immediately. We’ve been to Big Bottom Market in Guerneville. It’s wonderful!

So happy to finally have this book! The pictures alone are worth it but the recipes are so easy, fun and delicious! Our favorite is the mascarpone and honey biscuits! The sweet stories along with the recipes are such a nice touch too!

The Big Bottom Biscuit book is well written and recipes are easy to follow. The biscuit recipes call for self rising flour and the author, Mr. Volpatt, even goes into how to make your own. The anecdotes and pictures are wonderful. So far I have only made the basic "wet" biscuit, but look forward to all the other recipes. My southern husband likes the biscuits, and he usually does not care for the ones I make.

Very different and new. Adds a new dimension to creating new recipes.
