The Girl Who Owned a City: The Graphic Novel

The main character is a little unlikable. She is brilliant and responsible. I want to like her as a feminist character, but there are times when her pride make her unlikable. She does what she has to survive and I like that they dont hold back or feel limited by age or know-how. They just figured it out.Spoiler below*** Spoiler*** Everyone works on her city, but she claims it as hers. But the other kids put their time in too, it's theirs too.

It's a great book. It does that a girl can do anything when she puts her mind to it. I think for all the young people out there it is very inspiring.

Love this book! My 12 year old enjoyed it very much as she is really into graphic novels right now!!! Accurate to her reading level.

It was such a good book with all the near death experiences and the adventure and the violence it was awesome

Nice! Stuck to the story line pretty much. Students have to read the book first and then they are allowed to read the graphic novel n compared the two.

The content is AMAZING, but the book arrived with dogged corners and a slightly torn binding. I'm sure it will get its fair share of abuse after being read over and over again, but like anything new, I'd like for it to actually be new if I pay full price.That said, I could barely stop reading it to write this review. So, so good!

This book has a wonderful way of showing that in times of crisis everyone, no matter how old will get together in fight for something they believe in.

I read a few few chapters of the novel thirty years years ago when I was about twelve, and I never forgot it.I was looking for something to read the kids and I found this graphic novel adaptation. It's still a great story, and the artwork complements the story brilliantly.Someone should make this into a movie.

My mom loved this book when she read it along time ago but she has trouble being able to read whole novels in her older age, so I decided to treat her to this graphic novel version as a mother's Day gift, she is excited to give it a try.

The pages started coming out in couple of days of very mild use.
