Affordable, Decent Quality, Beginner Friendly
Price for this butterfly de razor is reasonable. Very beginner friendly, easy to replace blades. Provides a good mild shave. Doing the basic 3 pass shave gets you nice and smooth. Blade recommendations I would go with what everyone else says either Astras(better price) or Feather(said to be sharper but I found them about the same). I’ve seen bad reviews saying that the handle or the blades rust after leaving the blade in for a while. I might be odd but I try to take care of things I buy regardless of the price I pay for them. After I finish my shave I rinse the razor and wipe off the blade and razor with my shave towel. If you aren’t a slob who leaves your razor looking like a barbershop floor then this will last you a good while. So long as you aren’t throwing it at walls.. If you are looking at starting de razor shaving this is my first pick. Once you feel confident and wish to give a more aggressive shave a try there are many choices on here. If you are hellbent on getting a 3 piece de razor, Muhle has a Neo that is very affordable at $30. Don’t forget the pre shave ritual, that way you have an awesome shave every time. Warm towel(or just warm water to soften the beard), your shaving lather makes a huge difference, remember if your blade starts to tug after you have softened up the hair it is time to change the blade. Best thing about de razors is how cheap the blades are. If you go for astras you can switch out the blade every shave for about 7 cents(usually last me 2-3 shaves, depends on hair thickness). Get the angle down, go slow, you will not regret it. Ditch the cartridge razor, the cuts are not worth it, after switching I haven’t had any nicks. Hope you give this one a try.

Best value in shaving.
Switched over from disposable razors and will never go back. This razor feels high quality and has a nice weight in the hand. Paired with the Wilkinson Sword blades I have never had a smoother shave and I like the idea of not wasting plastic by using disposable razors. I have owned this for close to two years and it still functions like new, no rust.

Well made, not your Grandfather's razor.
Well made. The handle is a little longer than other razors and fits in my hand better. If this EVER wears out I will buy it again.

Worth it for the price...
A pretty good razor. Weight and balance good. TTO mechanism secure. There are far better razors, but for the price, it is worth a try.

GREAT razor. You Get A Really Close Shave
It's a great traditional tried-and-tested double edge razor, and the Wilkinson Sword blade is incomparable. I usually shave with a straight razor, and I like that the best, it gives the closest, most uniform shave, and it costs nothing except the razor, strop, and a couple of stones for honing. But it take time to learn the skill of honing the blade, and sometimes the edge needs a touch up and you are in a hurry. Plus, you can't shave with a straight razor in the shower (you must have the mirror). So, for convenience this razor is great. The blades last a long time as they are stainless steel, and they are much CHEAPER than the rip-off cartridge razors with 3, 4, and now 5 blades--and there is NO PLASTIC to dispose of. NONE. You can even get double edge blades in WAX PAPER packaging.Having said all that, you can shave without hurting yourself immediately. With a little practice (like 2 or 3 shaves) you can get nearly as close a shave as you can with a straight razor. One thing I like about the straight razor is that the next day, as your beard starts to come back, the stubble feels really good, not harsh like with an electric or one of these plastic monstrosities. Well, this Wilkinson Sword blade does very close to the same thing. Even with a day's growth, my face still feels, well, nice and civilized. So for $16.00, you can try it out, and you won't be disappointed. Plus, unless you want to grow a beard, you have to shave every day. Trying out different methods is fun. This one is particularly fun. Get some good shave cream. Don't ever use that chemical crap they sell at the supermarket. Get the best, Proraso, from Italy, and get yourself a decent shaving brush, I recommend Omega professional. It's boar bristle, but actually, that is the best. Badger is expensive, overrated, and generally if you get Badger online, it is going to be fake, colored Boar. Just get the boar. I works better. Any kind of small bowl will work for the lather, but with the Proraso and the omega, you can basically wet your face, rinse the brush in hot water, squirt the Proraso into the brush and make the lather on your face. Proraso is the best, it smells good, softens and protects, and you can imagine you are in an Italian barbershop getting a barber shave and the go get some realy neapolitan pizza with that gorgeous dark haired girl who is flirting with you through the barbershop window. Have fun. You shave every single day. Make it an adventure.

Great DE for a low price + great blades
I'm a fan of the affordable yet very useable nature of this product. Take care to clean it after each use and dry it, and it should last awhile. Feels fairly studry and holds the blade quite securely. There is some more blade exposure than other razors, but it isn't an issue for me with the balanced aggressiveness of the included blades.
