Quality lock for storage
Great heavy lock. Ideal for storage lockers because of it's design, strength, and the shackle size fits the latch hole.

A few bucks more to protect valuables
Terrific block for storage units. Almost no way a bolt cutter can get a grip on the shank / very resistant. Stainless steel and cover for keyhole resist rust. Worth the extra cost. Recommended!

Perfect for storage units!
Worked great, fits pods container and was nice and smooth. Perfect for storage containers. Stands up to weather and key use is simple. Nothing is breaking into this lock. Solid!

Amazing Lock! Terrible Spare Key Experience!!!
***Update: After 2 weeks of waiting, I got sent a new lock and keys directly from ABUS and everything works great now! I ordered one of these for a storage unit and they do come with two keys that are keyed to specific number by ABUS. Both of these factory keys work great with the lock and I have had no issues there. The issue comes with trying to order spare keys from ABUS. I registered the lock on ABUS' website not long after I received the product and I wanted to order two spare keys for it, so they ask to punch in the number that is on the card attached to the keys. I do that, pay for my keys, and a week later I received two new keys that look identical to the factory keys that shipped with the lock and NEITHER WILL OPEN THE LOCK. Both with go in completely and start to turn the internal mechanism but they will not fully turn to open the lock. I emailed ABUS and provided pictures of the serial on the back of my lock, and pictures of the security key number that were attached to the keys and I said "Im not sure if I accidently got the wrong spare keys shipped for what happened" and asked about the possibility of reordering spare keys. I get no response from ABUS for a week but magically two more keys from them were shipped to me (for free, thankfully) and I received them two days ago: THOSE DIDNT WORK EITHER! I am currently waiting on a response from ABUS to see if I can take one of the originals anywhere and have spares directly copied since I must have gotten the wrong key code mailed with the original keys. I will update with any other info. or I might just return this lock and look elsewhere.

Best lock for storage lockers
I moved long distance recently so I've been looking into padlocks a lot. LOL. I wanted the more sturdy and secure I could get without breaking the bank. While this might look similar to other brands such as Master, it is WAY better!! TBH those other brand locks aren't built very well. They are super easy to pick and cut through. Just google lock picking demos to see. ABUS makes very good quality locks that won't break the bank. They are much, much harder to pick and cut through. Now any lock can be picked or cut through with enough time, you just want one that's going to last long enough to either dissuaded crooks from even bothering or take long enough that hopefully security shows up. Discus locks are the best for storage lockers because they have the least amount of exposed shackle making cutting much harder. You definitely don't want a long padlock that has lots of exposed shackle that can be easily accessed for cutting. For my move I used a POD service company and for that I got the ABUS 26/90. It was basically the biggest and strongest lock that would fit on the POD (they have a 1/2 inch maximum shackle width they can fit) . It's absolutely great!!. Unfortunately actual storage lockers have much smaller latches and won't fit it (I tried at 2 different companies that are both major players in the storage industry and a 10mm is the biggest that would fit.). I needed to get something smaller and the 20/70 was the biggest that would fit a storage locker. It's made of hardened steel that is comparatively much hard to cut through and the lock mechanism is much harder to pick than the cheaper alternatives. Compared to the larger 26/90, the 20/70 uses a different type of key and I noticed it sticks just a bit more. You need to jiggle the key a bit to get it lined up so you can unlock the lock. It's not really a hassle and once you get it to turn it turns smoothly and without any issues. It has a black plastic keyhole cover which I guess is nice. The main issue would be people gumming/gluing a lock to keep you from being to open it. This cover just pushes over so it won't stop that, but it does keep dust out. So overall I'd definitely recommend this lock. Only slight issue is the need to jiggle the key a bit to unlock it. It's the biggest and toughest I could find that fits a standard storage locker. I would definitely recommend getting this over either the free ones the storage places often throw in with your rental or lesser brands like Master. I did look into other brands that cost significantly more, but they only had a minimally better security ratings but cost 2-3x as much.

These suckers are built to last
I can't express enough how impressed I am with my ABUS locks. These locks have proven to be a cut above the rest, and here's why: These locks are built like a fortress. Their robust construction exudes strength and durability. I trust them to keep my belongings safe and secure, no matter the circumstances. The attention to detail in the manufacturing of these locks is evident. Every component feels well-crafted, from the solid body to the precision key mechanism. They're engineered for long-lasting performance. What I love is how these locks seamlessly integrate into my storage latches. They slide in smoothly and snugly, providing an added layer of protection that's incredibly reassuring. ABUS locks have exceeded my expectations. Their sturdiness, exceptional build quality, and ease of use make them a top choice for anyone in need of reliable security. I highly recommend ABUS locks for peace of mind and protection.

Great material and built quality. Pricey but better than most lock in this price range.
Really good lock. Purchased for my storage unit after watching the LockPickingLawyer on YouTube so I am fully aware it is not impenetrable but it is very well made and probably the average person who would want to break this would need a grinder so it is a relatively safe option for a storage unit. Never seen any sign of rust and I have used this in Florida so the material on top of the build quality are top notch. The only thing I would notice is that sometime it it a bit tricky to insert the key but I suppose that adds to the security in same ways. Some reviews complained about the price but when the cheapest lock from Walmart/Home Depot is close to $10 I would say this price for this is justified.

Original Abus Diskus padlock received in excellent packaging and at an affordable price of Rs 1,500; it is made in Germany. I am glad that I received a slightly older version of the product, because the older version comes with a hardened steel shackle. The lock is equipped with a highly pick resistant Disk Detainer core made entirely from brass with false gates. I think Indian brands like Godrej, in collaboration with Abus, should fill the market with these reliable locks, instead of the dimple-key locks that can be picked in less than a minute!!

Es un candado muy bien construido, robusto y con un tipo de cerradura extremadamente segura. Excelente relación entre calidad y precio.

I love this lock. It has a very satisfying *clunk* to it when you lock and unlock it. It has a good weight to it and feels very well built. I live on Vancouver island and this lock has stood up to the entire rainy winter with zero issues. Since it's a disc detainer lock it's unlikely that your average lock picker will be able to pick it without a specialized tool. ( check out the Lockpickinglawyer on YouTube to see what I mean). I searched long and hard for a good lock and came to the conclusion that you cannot find a decent lock in stores, so I spent the extra and bought this one with confidence for about $55 CAD. Money well spent, much cheaper than replacing the items it's securing. I also like that it looks like your average disc lock, but is a much higher level of security. It's German built and the quality reflects that. Also, never force the key. You'll likely come across the review on YouTube ( or maybe it was Amazon USA?) of the guy that was upset because he broke his key off in the lock.. with disc detainer locks you must rotate the key gently until the discs are in order and you feel the key go all of the way in, it was his fault he broke the key, not the locks fault.
