The texture of the rice is good. The ingredients suggest that you use 6 cups of water. Personally, I would use between 4 and 5 cups. Using 6 cups, to me, makes way too much juice. The last time I used a box, I put in 4 cups and that made it too think. I will use 5 cups, the next time.

Zatarains is a Great rice mix with an excellent amount of seasoning and flavor. It is hard to find this Gumbo Mix in the stores during the holiday. Buying bulk from Amazon is a must!

I've been using the gumbo mix for 15 years and still absolutely love it. It's quick, easy all you have to do is put a meat with it, cooked chicken, sausage, shrimp, whatever We eat it with cornbread. It's a nice quick warm tasty meal.

Love this stuff

This used to be in most stores in Canada but now is very hard to find. I was very pleased to be able to purchase it here. Great taste easy to make the last two times buying this i have noticed that it has a lot less salt in it. That is not a bad thing .

Items arrived a day early. Though a little pricey, it's impossible to find locally, so no big deal. Will definitely be ordering again!
