The Demon Prince of Momochi House, Vol. 1 Kindle & comiXology

Awesome book

I am almost completely done with book one, but I wanted to pause so that I don’t finish it before book 2 comes in but to start this off this book is literally so good 10/10 recommend it did have delayed shipping but I’m not sure if it was because of this book or the other manga that I ordered with it but it is worth waiting a couple extra days for 100%. Most Mangas don’t have a lot of romance in the first book but I felt like this one was setting up for a really good romance in the future.

4.5 starsI really loved this and get the comparisons to other manga, but I found the repeated fast paced conveniences annoying and hope for more depth in future volumes.

This is not like Kamisama Kiss but it does have romance and fantasy (best genres ever.) IN MY OPINION, this manga started off pretty dry and typical with cookie cutter characters and a rather basic plot. I didn't like the main love interest at first because I they were so strange together and it felt like they were just tossed into the plot with one another... like a fruit salad. However, every time the story progresses, I grow more fond of them as individuals and I feel like I am slowly being eased into a soft, sweet romance. There has been little development for the background characters which is sort of a bummer but I imagine it will go more into that as the story continues. Overall, the art is great and the story is fascinating when you get into it, there's some good action. If you are expecting something like Kamisama Kiss, this story and characters are waaaay different but in a good way. It has all the romance that I love so maybe you will love it too.

So this review is not of the content of the item but of the items condition upon arrival.I know this sounds dumb and petty to some but it has a dent... I am super picky about books. Yes the dent is tiny and 97% of people wouldn't give a hoot about it. I'm not most people. Half of the books I own are for decoration and haven't been opened.I'm giving 5 stars because I'm sure the manga is a good read. BUT I still hate you Amazon book denters! I hope Tomoe bites you in the ear!

I wanted to try this manga out to see how I would like it but so far it is just okay. The close relationships the characters create with one another literally happen within the first few pages and I feel overall the story progresses a little too quickly. This is the first book, so I'm not going to give up yet! The art style is definitely beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the artwork so I am looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds.
