Wondrous Wizards Equals Wizard Deception!
Wondrous Wizards is a coloring book I purchased when it was on sale. As a Gandalf The Gray fan I pulled it out recently. As I have been reading the Lord of The Rings. I was very displeased to find that of the 32 pages only 15 are of Wizards Also included are Sorceress and Enchantress and Princesses. Now had it be titled Wizards and more. I wouldn't be complaining as it would have never gone in my cart, even at a sale price. Since I have many other Mythology, Goddesses, and Witches coloring books that thoroughly cover paranormal female characters. I was looking for a book focused on their male counterparts. I thought I had found what I was looking for but turns out not to be the case.I was also surprised that this is rated for children 8 and up. The pictures are large simplified and see more befitting the 5 to 7 age range in my opinion. The book is double sided and on thin paper so in my view crayons, pastels, or watercolor pencils work best.Part of my 2 star rating is the deceptive title and, because while the cover had no flaws the pages inside were crimped and creased by the binding and some pages weren't completely cut. At the top or bottom. Dover is usually better quality then this. Couldn't recommend because of these flaws.

Wonderful
The ONLYYYY reason I'm taking one star off is because it is printed on both sides. However, I got the book on sale ($3.99) and purchased 2 so that ends up being overall the same price as alot of books anyway. This way I don't have to waste one of the sides. I color with pencils (which do not ruin the back), crayons (for simple pictures), but markers and gel pens ruin the other side, and I do like a variety of utensils depending on my mood and the picture. Marty Noble is a really talented artist. I have many of her books and it's hard to pick a favorite. This one is particularly awesome because in a world of mandalas and zendoodles and mosaics, it is nice to have something ELSE for a change :) The wizards are in a variety of poses and scenes and are detailed but not tedious or a chore to color. Just FUN! What is also nice is the back of the book has some girl wizards to add even more variety. Oh, and there are some dragons interspersed in the scenes. I love dragons!

Beautiful book
This is a lovely book, as Marty Noble's art work is always outstanding. I had to give it three stars due to the book being crumbled up and it was in a box.

Bought this when my daughter was five, and she LOVED it
Yes, I purchased this product two years ago, when my daughter was five. She is now seven, and I still have the coloring book. The images are amazing, and have incredibly intricate details to them. I loved watching her, at times, add additional squiggles/embellishments to "her" vision of the wizards. Her sole complaint regarding the book was that there weren't enough female wizards. Truthfully, the book has an equal (or fairly equal split). She colored all of the lady wizards, and then decided--which tells me she had a great deal of fun working on this coloring book--that the male wizards warranted her attention as well.Coloring books are phenomenal, and I know that parents don't always consider Dover as age appropriate, opting instead for coloring books featuring the Disney princes, etc., but I have to say these books are tremendously fun (too) , and varied in theme. Also, compared to many affordable coloring books out there (those meant for children), the page quality is remarkable, significantly thicker than the pages of most children's coloring books.I love this book (have purchased many Dover publications for my daughter over the years, and she has gotten much use of of each of them. Highly recommend for your coloring AND wizard enthusiast.

Just fun!
I usually prefer coloring patterns, (paisleys, art deco designs, ect.) but this coloring book is proving itself to be just as fun. It reminds me of my childhood coloring books, but with much more detail. If you have an older niece and you're unsure of how to entertain her, I think this would be a perfect activity to do together. My only complaint, of course, is the double sided pages. I press down hard with my pencils, and it ruins the picture on the other side. But that can be solved by photocopying the pictures onto some good quality paper.(P.S. Prang makes very good, very inexpensive pencils. They're the perfect quality for your Dover coloring books.)

Wondrous Wizrds by Marty Noble
I love this artist. Looking forward to coloring all the pics in the book. My only regret is that it is two sided pages. Will have to copy on printer if I want to use markers because of the bleed through. The pictures are all lovely though. Like I said Love this Artist.

Feel The Magic In Your Coloring
I can sum up the appeal of this coloring book for adult users in two words. Detailed drawings. Marty Noble does really intricate drawings that turn out amazingly if you take the time to color them in detail with real art supplies. I've bought this more than once- and it's very rare that I like any book enough to color the same one two or more times- but this is one I keep coming back to because of the fine detail in the art.

Only 1st half of book is wizards, other sorceress/princess. Double sided; drawings bit childish.
Disappointing. 1st 15 pages (double sided so book is quite thin) are of the wizards expected from description, last 15 are all sorceresses (not sure of the plural!) and types of princess. Wouldn't mind a few interspersed throughout the wizards, but not half the book or split in obvious halves. This was recommended to me by Amazon, because I buy a lot of adult colouring books, but it's quite childish and pen can't be used without risk to the drawing on other side. Book recommends crayons or pencils. I associate crayons with primary school and apologise if that has changed and I've still to discover them!

Great pictures but picture on both sides, disappointed.
Lovely pictures but they are on both sides of the page. So you can't cut out and frame as you loose a picture. Plus the colours may bleed through from one side to the other. Disappointed as love colouring and framing the pictures.

A little childish
Lovely book, shame it has pictures on both sides of the page. Also not very adult, suited more to a younger buyer.
