Luna Star All Natural Soccer Star Play Makeup Kit

this is a nice product that my 9 year old is really enjoying. The colors aren't too bright so she can usually apply the eyeshadow & lip gloss herself without looking like a clown.

This stuff makes a mess. Loose powder in a dish for children? Um, what are they thinking? And it's DARK powder. When my girls put it on, they look like clowns. I think play makeup should be mess-free and light colored, with maybe some sparkles or something, so the girls feel like they are dressing up, but they don't look so darned ridiculous. I don't like scrubbing it out of my carpet, because it's hard to get this dark color all the way out. But they love it, so 2 stars. (It was their first play makeup, though, so they would have liked another brand, I'm sure).

I just love this stuff for my granddaughters and I know they love it too. It contains quality ingredients that will not hurt their delicate, youthful skin. I have purchased many packs of this as I have 3 granddaughters who all wanted their own "play" makeup kit. They have oodles of fun getting all jazzed up and many of the powders are so subtle it's hard to tell sometimes that they actually have anything on at all, but they think they do and that's what's important. It's a winner!

I love that this product tries to be safe for play, but what a mess. The powder is everywhere. The blue eyeshadow is vibrant in color, but neither of the other colors show up as anything much but whitish. My daughter is fair skinned and instead of looking like she's been playing dress up, she just looks a little ill. The hidden blessing is that only the blue powder, when spilled, is a big problem to get out of rugs. And it's really pricey for the amount of fun it provides. If I could do it over again I'd go for only vibrant, pressed powder eyeshadow/blush.

I bought this for my 3 year old niece and she loved all the makeup in the kit. She has very sensitive skin and this product she great for her skin.

My daughters love the kits they received for Christmas. It is July and there is still plenty of make-up left. I think the price is very good given the quality of the product. This isn't Bonne Belle chemical soup, so one should expect to pay a little more. It comes with quite a few items and it has lasted, so maybe it even turns out to be less expensive in the long run.As for mess, I think any make-up can turn into a mess. Children either need supervision or explicit instructions and the ability to follow them. I definitely wouldn't leave a four year old alone with any make-up and then be surprised if I found a mess later.These colors are fun. If you want barely there color then the Fairy Princess colors are nice.
